I love watching demos, it's a technologically and visually incredible art form that I believe is somewhat underappreciated nowadays. To remedy this slightly, I wish to start this thread of appreciation to the subculture and its creations. Post your favourite demos, or whatever good ones you discover, here. Videos are fine (ideally in HD & fullscreen for the best experience), as are the files themselves (provided the link doesn't direct to risky sites that contain viruses and whatnot).
Here's a couple to kick things off.
SECOND REALITY - Future Crew
Probably the seminal demo that kickstarted the growth of the scene, and a must see for anyone new to it all. Second Reality is a DOS-based PC demo released in 1993 which, while seeming a little outdated today, was a remarkable technological achievement in its time for its showcase of 2D and 3D rendering, as well as its efficiency. The file for the original demo can be found here, though you will need DOSBox to run it if you're on a newer system, which you probably all are.
CHAOS THEORY - Conspiracy
Created by the group Conspiracy, it is utterly, visually stunning and has a incredible soundtrack accompanying it. The original file is only 64 kilobytes, and though available on the group's website I haven't included a link as the file allegedly contains a trojan for some reason. Nevertheless, here's a video of the demo in action. I highly recommend you view this in HD & Fullscreen, it looks spectacular.
Any more recommendations and discoveries, feel free to post them here. Here's an explanation as to what it's all about for those who haven't yet discovered it.
