There is nothing about this panel I don't like. So this "Mysterious Girlfriend X" manga has an anime now, which I'm going to be watching.

I never ever thought I'd get to have a conversation about Mysterious Girlfriend X. I've been keeping up with it for about 5 years now and didn't think anyone would understand. The characters are extremely well-defined, and it plays on its own strange premise effortlessly. It has this really serene, transient quality about it; like the characters are actually moving forward in time, if that makes any sense. Anyway, I really like this one. Will check the anime out. Edit: Also dem titties dawg

I don't know anything about it other than from the screens I see in Sankaku Complex, I really like the art style for their faces. Sort of reminds me of 80's anime.

I don't know anything about it other than from the screens I see in Sankaku Complex Pervert! Haha, just kidding. I like that site too. Absolutely, me too - I noticed this immediately. I love the art in general, and the "action" is very serene and dreamlike.

I'll actually admit to sometimes stop at some of the "goddess of 2ch" threads just because hey, quick references for drawing (and pleasing to the eye), but the real highlight for me is that it's the best site for odd news from China. It's amazing.

Baka and Test: Summon the Beasts is out today: £22.17 on Amazon.co.uk, with 12 episodes, possibly an OVA, and a bunch of extras. It's a bit steep a price in my opinion, but 325 minutes of very, very good anime comedy that I would highly recommend to anyone. The fighting aspect is really undercooked, but it's not really about that, just laugh after laugh. Hey look, you can watch the sub bed version online for free!

keikaku means plan
You wouldn't conventionally change the name of a show for international release. In Japan it's called Baka to Test no Shoukanjuu. "Baka and Test" is a pretty decent job, since "Idiot and Test" is a really dumb name.

I certainly think so. The series starts off with the silliest of premises: a bunch of teenagers who have died find themselves in a high school afterlife fighting a guerrilla war against the student body president who is supposedly an angel. Sounds ridiculous, right? But it's not the absurdist comedy it sounds like and actually becomes rather intriguing and mysterious on top of being funny. The last few episodes are quite emotional and the finale literally had me in tears.
Me, I love this anime. It may seem like another high-school comedy to some but I found it refreshingly original and creative. You really ought to see it and judge for yourself, though.

Sounds like Clannad or something. I'll give it a look, but I would prefer an absurdist comedy.

I think Higurashi just got upstaged as the creepiest anime ever. (Or at least the last five years) I am NOT watching this. EVER.

Well, Higurashi is for people who are sexually excited by children's suffering, so no.
Edit: I love how every time I visit this page my monitor cuts Urabe off just below the chest.

Just found this. So good. These people play monster hunter just like me. XD Edit: To see captions properly go to the YouTube page or watch full screen. ( www.youtube.com/watch?v=dO_4NyBe8dU) P.S. The translations okay but I've seen better.

That's Boku Wa Tomodachi Ga Sukunai ("I Have Few Friends"*), a trashy but enjoyable harem comedy. I was going to write about it later, actually. It's really snappy and funny, but outrageously fanservicey.
*but enough about my life aaaaaah

Fanservice I can deal with . I've watched Strike Witches in it's full glory (If you can call it that ;D). Edit: I just looked up Boku Wa Tomodachi Ga Sukunai It seems good. Wonder if it will get a UK release.

Strike Witches is a bit on the ooer lolicon side, though. Can't fault the concept, however; possibly the best concept in the history of fiction.

It may be on the lolicon side but it was still a fun anime to watch. Just like watching Rozen Maiden. On the flip side. I want a new Ghost in the shell series. Also it's taking an awfully long time for a uk dvd of K-on! series 2 to surface. I mean c'mon I have watched the first series twice through already. (would be more but my projects at college are stupidly convoluted. )
