Hey, Boomers!
Here at STCO we're a pretty easy going forum where you can come to talk about all things STC, STCO, Sonic's world and more! However there are a few rules that everyone should read and abide by!
Rules of the forum
Reading of this forum agreement is required from all new and regular forum members. It is important to the running of the site and to help keep the forum work, school/college/university safe. Breaking these will constitute a warning, or a ban. If you are unsure about something, please ask a moderator before posting. They don't bite!
1. We have a swear filter in operation. Please do not attempt to dodge it! You can PM a mod where the filter censors an inoffensive word. There is also a Troubleshooting thread for reporting words censored inappropriately.
2. Please do not make any comments that are sexually graphic or that could make others uncomfortable.
3. Please do not make any comments that involve any level of discrimination, e.g. race, gender, religion, lifestyle etc.
4. Do not share anything that discusses, encourages, condones or supports illegal activity such as piracy, fake ID cards, drugs, etc. This includes links to external websites, videos etc.
5. Do not use the forum to attack another member, either in public threads or by PM. This includes flaming, baiting, trolling etc. Also bear in mind that new members are forum users too and everyone should treat new members fairly.
6. Please refrain from deliberately disrupting or 'hijacking' other peoples' posts or ‘derailing’.
7. Only one account per member is allowed. Creating a new account to avoid a ban is not permitted.
If you see someone on the forum has made a post which breaks the rules, or you receive a PM causing you distress, please do not confront them yourself. Please either PM a mod or use the “report to a moderator” link in the offending post.
Why are the rules like this?
We have a responsibility to keep to the founding of the forum as a safe place for young people as well as adults. To ensure that certain laws are followed, particularly UK law (which allows under 13s to participate in forums), while we want to make sure you are free have a say, we also need to make sure people are protected and safe from harm.
Mega Droid's Guide to Forum Etiquette... or How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Reply Button!
These are small things you won't be warned or banned for, but will help ensure your posts are well understood by the rest of the forum.
1. Everyone can either use an avatar from the forum collection, or you can upload your own avatar. Please keep your avatar size to 100 x 100 or below. Signatures are set to contain text only, pictures and logos are not included.
2. The forum supports BB code [ b ], [ /b ] etc to help emphasise your posts. Please also use spoiler tags; [ spoiler ] [ /spoiler ] without the spaces, when discussing important points of new or recently released media.
3. The forum has a spellchecker; please use it when making new posts or replies. No “leet” or text-speak, please.
4. You can use [ img ] [ / img ] tags to post pictures. Please do not post very large pictures that will make reading the thread difficult. Large pictures are likely to be changed to links by the mod team.
5. Please refrain from deleting your posts from a discussion as it can become confusing!
6. You can use the edit button to add content to or correct a post so double or triple posting isn't necessary. However if you are sharing new work in the Graphic Zone, feel free to post away!
7. Please be aware of thread placement and try to avoid thread duplication. Moderators are able to move or merge threads where necessary, and if you are unsure where a new thread should go, please ask a mod.
8. If you post a link, picture or video with swearing or slightly mature content, please use a NSFW tag. Please remember that extreme violence or sexual content is not permitted in any form.
9. Suggestions and feedback are welcome in the appropriate thread, but remember to keep suggestions and criticism constructive!
Hope this is all clear, Boomers. Remember we want this forum to be a fun place for everyone, and the mod team are here to help!
