I respect for MLP as a show and I really enjoyed what I saw of TTG! and even I'm not really enthused by this. After Generations did a very tidy job of getting pretty much everyone back on board with Sonic it seems they've had absolutely no clue what to do with him. Lost World is an indecisive mess and the silhouettes for the new show looks to have yet more flustered scrabbling with pointless redesigns* and another bland Green Hill-esque background. I'm not ruling out it being good, but at this point I should be, at the very least, curious. I'm not. I'm just absolutely apathetic. Let it happen, I hope some children enjoy it. Ditto a movie. I cannot see how it could possibly capture the charm or mystique of the old media; not just the Mega Drive games but the OVA and STC which had heaps of character and atmosphere.
*I consider Sonic to be one of the most well-designed characters ever, and I find it really peculiar that they'd mess with his design.

The fact it can be described as, and accurately identified as 'My Little Sonic' But it can't be described as and accurately identified as "My Little Sonic". It's not been created by Lauren Faust or her successor, or any of the design team and producers from My Little Pony; it's not got a visual style that resembles My Little Pony as far as we know; it's not targeted primarily at young girls (so it's almost certainly not going to have stories about fashion, parties etc); the plot is almost certainly not going to be about characters learning to be friends; and it's airing on a completely different network, one that likes running 11-minute surreal comedy shows. The only similarity to My Little Pony is that Dave Polsky freelanced on it and he's freelanced on things that are nothing like Pony. I can't say anything about Teen Titans Go but Pony isn't a "lol well random" show. One of the main characters and one recurring character do "lol well random" gags but the others don't, and the plots don't run on "lol well random". Cartoon Network does like "lol well random" shows though (Go is one of theirs), so yeah, Sonic Boom will be like that. But then it'd be Sonic Adventure Time, or Regular Sonic. Uncle GrampSonic. Sonic & Morty, even; older audience but same "lol well random". That's what we're looking at here, a standard Cartoon Network comedy show. (And almost certainly not as good as Adventure Time but that's a high bar) Charles- See with Adventure Time it makes a lot of sense, due to the nature of the show (it's got a lot of connections and plot stuff but it's never really the focus) but I've always associated most Sonic stuff outside of the games (and TAOSH) with ongoing plots...which normally suggests 20 minute episodes. So I really have even less of a clue to what Sonic Boom could possibly be like :v It could be more like Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog than anything else, that's the sort of thing Cartoon Network seems to like. But probably more fart gags. Everyone age 6 loves fart gags!
