I downloaded the Demo off of PSN awhile back, it seems like a fun game...I'll probably get around to buying it before long, only thing I didn't like much is that some of the sharp turns can be troublesome, aside from that seems like a fun enough game...and lord knows my PS3 needs some more love.

This is still quite expensive in shops, so I'll assume that's a sign it's doing well.
Played the Wii version at a friend's house - some of the handling is a bit tempermental, but the tracks seems quite nice and vibrant.

Why the heck is this not sub-£15 yet? Heck, I'd have thought sub-£10 by now.

By the way I just wanted to make a bad comment, nothing personal.

Because it's a good game. It's been three months. A price drop is expected by now.

HOW DARE THEY NOT SELL IT FOR LESS ARGLEBARGLE
I'd suggest that, like Aria said, it's still selling well so there's no need for one.

I wasn't complaining about the price, I was just elaborating on what Exu said.

Truthfully, even the best games don't stay up this high unless they're godly masterpieces that can get away with it. I could still see Wind Waker up in Wal-Marts (Um, you have that store in Europe, right? Sorry, if you're not familiar, it's just a big name store...) for $50 after A YEAR after its release! WTF man, but that's a rare occasion. A game like this, I would think would be down at least 5-10 by now. (I'm not saying it's bad, just that it isn't really 'exceptional', if that makes any sense.)

Game's still selling at RRP, so game doesn't go down in price. Sense, it has been made.

It's not the first time something "bizarre" like this has happened. I mean the original CoD4 was was full price for a long time.
Kinda disappointed there doesn't seem to be any more. In terms of DLC or what have you.

Well, it's nearly a year after its release, I have never yet seen this game under £20 in any shop. When other, notable A-list titles that have been out shorter have managed to do so. What gives? How has this game managed to stay so expensive for so long? It defies all logic and sense. I know it's mediocre, but dammit I want it. But I'm not prepared to hand over £20 plus, knowing the moment I do so it's price will suddenly plummet and I'll look like a freaking turnip.

'S not mediocre at all. It's a damn enjoyable racing game, and I would whole-heartedly recommend it if there was a little more track/character variety. Which looked like it was gonna get fixed with DLC, except they stopped releasing it. After the [censored]ing first one, no less.
But yeah, +£20 is too steep for a year-old game. Pokémon Diamond and Pearl, as well as Animal Crossing: Wild World were other massive offenders I noticed - literally 2 to 3 years (actually, more like 4 in AC's case) after their release, they're still going for like £25. Internet any good? :T

Probably would have more luck buying online, but as Austin Powers once put it, "That sort of thing ain't my bag, baby".
And aye, it isn't limited to this game. Super Mario 64 DS, one of the handheld's launch titles and in itself a re-release of a Nintendo 64 game, is being sold at the local Asda as I speak at nearly £30. That's thirty pounds, for a game that came out in 1996.

Yeah, but Nintendo games almost never drop in price. Mind, a lot of the time they're worth the original asking price so hey. EDIT: Oh, and I got All-Stars Racing for £18 second-hand from my local indie games store about six months ago.

Best time to buy a game, I feel.
On that note, anyone who's been holding out and has an account with Zavvi.com should hop over there - as part of their 24-hour Mega Monday sale, the 360, PS3 and DS versions are currently £12.85.
Amusingly, the Wii version is more expensive - £17.85 without the wheel, £24.85 with.

There's a price drop on the Metal Sonic/Death Egg DLC on XBLA to tie-in with Sonic's 20th birthday - it's down to 320 (?) MSP. Dunno if there's a similar offer on PSN.
I also don't know if anyone will actually care, but I thought I'd mention it.

I'd care if I knew it was going to be available into next week when I'd actually be able to get it... Especially since I think I actually have 320MSP exactly just lazing about on my Xbox.
