Fun fact: the word "tomb" looks odder the longer you look at it.
So yeah, I was just playing Underworld and I started to wonder what everyone's favourite instalment of the ol' TR was.
As I believe I've said somewhere on the board before, I tried numbers 1-3 and didn't get on with the controls, so put my mild interest in the series to bed. But when I heard that the Crystal Dynamics titles had rejigged the control system, I was re-piqued, and one £2 copy of Anniversary second-hand from Game later I discovered that I liked Tomb Raider after all. As long as it was from 2006 or later.
So for me it's a toss-up between Legend and Anniversary (I still like you too, Underworld, but them's the breaks) and after due consideration, Legend's brilliant Cornwall level earns it my seal of approval. Japan's great, too.
