So this morning I awake to find the Liquid Kids boss theme playing endlessly in my mind. This is most likely the result of me and a friend spending two hours on the last boss alone (utter [censored] of a boss) last October. All the same, hearing that same tune for two hours never once annoyed us and we still found ourselves singing along with it. The whole game's got some lovely ditties in it, but it seems to me the boss theme was specifically designed to be catchy as can be. www.youtube.com/watch?v=XqgQVifGXcoStarts at 5:55, fades out at 6:38. So, what other video game earworms are you guys aware of that you just can't stop humming, singing, whistling or just thinking?

Slightly selfish, I know, but any chance we could not have another thread filled with Youtube embeds? They slow my PC to a crawl, and I am interested enough in the subject that I'd like to take part - so maybe links...? I doubt many people click the embeds anyway, and they're not as interesting as explanations of why the music is liked.
Not aiming this at anyone in particular, as the thread's only just started - it's just disheartening to see thread after thread of just videos and no words.
Edit: Also, Liquid Kids is BLINDINGLY GOOD and you've made me want to play it RIGHT NOW. Thank goodness for the relatively recent release of NitroGrafx, now I can play it on my DS. :3

They slow my PC to a crawl, and I am interested enough in the subject that I'd like to take part - so maybe links...? I doubt many people click the embeds anyway, and they're not as interesting as explanations of why the music is liked. No problem, I've edited my post. Edit: Also, Liquid Kids is BLINDINGLY GOOD and you've made me want to play it RIGHT NOW. Thank goodness for the relatively recent release of NitroGrafx, now I can play it on my DS. :3 We were playing Taito Legends 2 and we thought "Liquid Kids" sounded like a ridiculous name for a game and it had to be insane. After playing it for about two minutes we realised it was fantastic. Elevator Action Returns is still our favourite game on the set, though. I'm not actually certain Hipopo rescues his girlfriend at the end of the game. We were just granted another hilariously poorly translated spiel from Taito's head of Engrish department. In all seriousness, if any of you have a PS2 or Xbox and don't have Taito Legends 1 and 2 (plus the PSP version), please rectify that mistake immediately because both are dirt cheap and absolutely chock-a-block with classic games as well as underrated titles that deserve more love. Here's another excellent catchy tune: www.youtube.com/watch?v=S3VlLNRFVf4 (excuse the sound effects, I don't think there was an OST for this game, which is a massive shame) Greenhorn Forest from Wario World. Follows that good old earworm formula of being quite repetitive, but not annoyingly so, and the choice of instruments makes it quite funky. To be honest, the whole of the Wario World soundtrack is bloody great, though I'm sure everyone who played it remembers Greenhorn Forest (Greenhorn Ruins has another very catchy theme). For Dancing Stage: Mario Mix, it was remixed into this: www.youtube.com/watch?v=AUz8ZWQscAwWhich just makes it even better and infinitely more danceable (which is the point, really).

I have both the PS2 Taito Legends sets, and used to have the PSP one. I sold it because, in all honesty, it's just not very good. Meagre set of games, no effin' Rainbow Islands and TERRIBLE screen blur. Plus the arranged titles ain't so hot.

I don't suppose on those Taito sets there happens to be Parasol Stars?

Dr Neo Cortex's Boss music from Crash 3. Far too catchy, and something I could have on a loop for a long while. Also, something I didn't know, but the original recordings were actually (severly) compressed to fit on the psone. Hence the original jetpack music is actually really much better than what was in the game. I could listen to this version all day long.

Duck Tales Moon LevelDoesn't really need much explanation, best 8-bit theme ever. It's got such a dududududududdudu repeat beat in the back along with hummable overtures. It's awesome. Warning - VERY catchy. Even by this threads standards

FF VII's Gold Saucer theme. It's an annoying tune but bloody hell, I always find myself humming along to it when I hear it.
Also, a LOT of Megaman tunes from several games. Megaman music has always been good, though. :3

MOTOR HEAD - Theme of Iron Tager. Excellent tune. Also of note - Marionette Purple (Theme of Carl Clover) and Catus Carnival (Theme of Taokaka). I love the BlazBlue soundtrack overall, but those are the ones that stick out to me.

I have to be honest, I didn't really care that much for the SFIV soundtrack, I thought it was a bit rubbish aside from that theme. Oh, yes. And this one: www.youtube.com/watch?v=wVwwxq5-6SYI was really upset when I found out that had been left out of Super. Super has the better soundtrack, in my opinion, purely for the inclusion of the iconic SFII themes (I know a few were in the original, but it's nice to have the lot).

I agree, but that one you linked is missing the stereo bits, and thus the Neo Cortex theme on the guitar-y hoo-hah. here And yeah, most all Crash music is brilliant. Particular favourite was always Heavy Machinery/Castle Machinery from Crash 1.

Secret Laboratory has the Round 1 theme when played in Vs mode, and fighting Seth with Character Themes set to ON plays Round 2's. MURAKUMO ACTIVATED.
