Quick question guys: has anyone got a GAME store close to them 'cos I wanna know how much the 3DS bundles are, so I know how much to shell out. I don't wanna phone them as they might not have the info yet. If anyone can help me, I'd be grateful.
EDIT: Just phoned them, haven't got the info till the end of the week, but they have an unconfirmed bundle of the console, SSFIV and Pilotwings Resort for £259.99. It'll be 171 quid for me due to my deposit and my DSi trade-in money. I'll probably go down early next week and place a preorder for Pilotwings, as they will only have limited allocations of each game per customer, mostly down to high demand I suppose. Ah well, I'm half-informed all of the changes now.

They had a unit in GAME yesterday they were letting people try so I gave it a go and thought the 3D was a bit pants. It just looks like one of those lenticular things and when moving it about there was a noticable "wave" across the screen.

I'm a poor college student. I has no moneys for an entire new platform at the moment.
I'll probably wait until the list of games builds up, and then when I have some free money i'll pick it up. I'm actually glad games like Paper Mario 3, OOT and MegaMan Legends won't be out for awhile, because any of those games would make it incredibly hard to not take out a loan for 3ds action. I'm that fiscally irresponsible.

Just phoned GAME again to check on the updates for Nintendo's eagerly-awaited handheld console (to some anyway ) ; and they have some more info, and hope to get it all before Thursday's midnight launch. I also just put a reservation down for Pilotwings Resort, not a preorder, just to keep it by for me in case there's a huge queue and I'm not at the front of it. Huge queues mean sellouts. Not good. So just 3 ½ more days to wait. Awesome stuff.

Oh, is the launch this weekend? Was that a sarcastic or genuine question?

Genuine question. Well, more an exclamation of surprise, I lost track of the date. How would that be insulting if it were sarcastic? D:
Ah well, I'll nip in on Saturday to get it.

It did look sarcastic when I read it, but I do apologise Shay. Yes, the midnight launch falls this Thursday. Where are you based?

No probs. I'm in Central Scotland. I think the closest store to me that's doing the midnight launch is Glasgow, but that's about an hour or so away in the car. Even if it were closer, I've still not passed my driving test, so I'm just gonna get it and stash it away for a while. why can't I drive D:

Just under 24 hours to go now, and already the 3DS is going to go on record as one of the fastest selling consoles in history. I'm going down to attend the midnight launch after work tonight, but I doubt I will have to wait long as my preorder I placed with GAME was one of the first. I really do hope the queues aren't that long, as really I want to be in, grab my console and be on my way as quick as possible.

It's when you get into the queue that matters. I'm also going down to GAME tonight, although I still don't know if I'm willing to make it down there for 11 when they open since I don't have anything to trade in myself. May split the difference and make it there for about half past.

I'll nip in and pick mines up tomorrow. For the friend code, is it one size fits all with them? Like, do you still need to register each individual game as a different friend code? I'll post mines tomorrow. Due to some major changes of plan with the driving, I'm just gonna open the [censored] as is. Still not getting any games for it, though. D:

Since I can't afford a 3DS right now, I just got wasted and played Rayman 2 on my regular DS. Then, after 15 minutes, I poured vinegar into my eyes.

D: Just one friend code per system now, with a slightly more sensible friends list set up in general. Obviously, you still need individual codes for normal DS games, though. Also, I got Street Fighter, Monkey Ball, Nintendogs and Lego Star Wars. I haven't had much opportunity to play any of them though.

The 3DS Rabbids game does actually seem to be playable on a DSi. If the box in shops currently is to be believed, that is. I think we'll have to wait until its launch to know for sure.
