I hope that they come up with some convincing reasons as to why Cerberus have turned against Shepherd to the point of trying to kill him. Especially given that the Reapers will have turned up by this point (I assume). I'd imagine that this is a thing that only Paragon players will have to deal with. Unity be damned, the Illusive Man just doesn't strike me as the type of guy who'd roll over and let you joyride across the galaxy.

From what little I've read, the article made it seem as though it was something universal, as opposed to just people who decided to blow up the Collector base. Of course, if it is just Paragons, then fair enough.

My theory is between the two sides.
Paragon - You told Cerebus to get outta town in ME2. The Illusive Man doesn't retain his influence through letting those who insult him stay alive very long.
Renegade - I've not done it entirely, but doesn't renegade Shepard basically tell Cerberus that they no longer give him orders? Same effect.

E3 has been kind to Mass Effect fans this year giving us TWO trailers for ME3. Retro, I do believe, posted one in the E3 thread itself but I'll post it here too just for the hell of it. ME3 Fall of Earth Trailer (All Gameplay)ME3 Live Action TrailerThe Live Action trailer gives me renewed hope that the upcoming movie will be awesome

That live action trailer is atrocious.
Ot pays no heed to the visual style of Mass Effect at all. Where's the future style clothes? Why are things done on an old news style? The ME imposed logo styles are massively different.
If thats the standard the movie is set at I only worry.

If you go on the Mass Effect facebook page, you can vote on what you want the default female Shepard to look like.

Feh, who cares? You only go with the defaults if you have no imagination. XP

The annoying thing is - there is already a default FemShep.

I think the argument was that she looked pretty much like any other random human female NPC, so they wanted to give the default a more interesting, unique look, like male Shep's. Thats what I read anyway.

Thats what I read anyway. At least FemShep will have one then. Generic male Shepard is possibly the most blank and generic character ever produced by the game industry in facial terms.

This war on 2nd hand sales is getting silly now. Did Mass Effect 3 really need multiplayer?
At least it doesn't seem to be necessary to the main story.

The multiplayer is being developed entirely by Bioware Montreal. So is entirely additional on top of the game as it is.
As such, it's essentially extra for free. Yay. I welcome this new mode.

I reinstalled Mass Effect 1, reloaded, saw the Citadel, made a despairing noise, closed it, uninstalled it again, and played something else. Worst £5 I ever spent, not my thing at all. Mass Effect 2 looks way more interesting to me with its improved shooter mechanics. Also, I pray that Mass Effect 3 builds on that which I assume it will on account of the announced multiplayer. Bioware are getting a lot of [censored] for Dragon Age 2 lately so I hope ME3 turns out to live up to the first two.

Dragon Age is created by an entirely different team than the ME team.

I'm still waiting for them to explain how the Omni blade works - every 'omni' related to date has come across as being more a holographic touch screen...unless it's going down the line of 'soft/hard' holograms Red Dwarf style.
Given that in ME2 you get to hear about rogue Cerberus operations I'm not inclined to think that the Cerberus forces you encounter in ME3 are necessarily sanctioned by the Illusive Man.
Multiplayer I'm kinda expecting to be similar to the simulator missions from ME1, can't remember what the DLC was called but it was meant to let you play some of the first contact war skirmishes.

Bioware have stated that the Cerberus forces you fight against in ME3 are not a renegade faction but rather indoctrinated. And given how Illusive Man likes to muck around with Reaper technology this is hardly surprising. Also the name of that ME1 DLC was Pinnacle Station and you only got to enact one First Contact War skirmish after you've bested all the top scores in the simulator.

Dragon Age is created by an entirely different team than the ME team. I mean, I hope reviewers don't intentionally [censored] on them because of the widespread DA2 hate. Edit: To clarify, I hope the backlash doesn't affect an objective analysis of the new game.

Seem to remember DA1 had some heat. Didn't effect MA2's reception.
