Throughout "Sonic the Comic", there have been many adaptations to popular Sonic Games. The Original series had Sonic CD, Sonic 3, Sonic & Knuckles, Knuckles' Chaotix, Sonic 3D and Sonic Adventure. Since the Online started, adaptions like Sonic Adventure 2, Sonic Heroes (even Sonic Riders and Sonic Shuffle) have appeared, and it looks like Sonic 06 is starting up as well. That said, what other Sonic games would you like to see adapted into the comic?
These are the ones I like to see: Shadow the Hedgehog: After the SA2 adaptaion, and his virtual return, Shadow deserves to have his back-ground explored more (like what was he surposed to be before Kintobor found him). Plus instead of the Black Arms, the Drakon Empire instead will be his enemy. Sonic Battle: I always wanted to see the Gizoids show up in the comic, considering how cool they look and their copying ability. Sonic Chronicles: Knuckles' storyline seems to be heading to a climax over the mystery of his past. I'd make it a Knuckles' centred story with just him, Porker, Tikal and the Chaotix Crew. I'd even reveal Doctor Zachary is a member of the Nocturne Clan. Sonic Colours: Okay, avoid stuff like "Sweet Mountain" and all that, but focus on diffrent planets (like Planet Wisp). I've grown to like the Wisps and believe that they could be a popular as the Flickies!
So what do you think? What others would you choose?

I don't think STC-O's "thing" is to do complete adaptations, more take things from the games that they like. As such, I'd love to see Cream and Marine make an appearance, if only as assist characters to Blaze as she becomes more fleshed out.
If they did do adaptations, I'd definitely be up for something Chronicles-y, which I suppose it is moving towards with "The Prisoner". Oddly, most of the more modern games have already had some sort of adaptation way before they came out:
* Secret Rings? Shanazar. * Black Knight? Knightmares. * Sonic Battle? Gizoids somewhat remind me of Metallix, particularly the newest one. * Sonic Unleashed? Werehog's the closest the games are going to get to STC's Super Sonic (ie. a "darker" transformation). Darkspines is probably a better link.
I'm happy with how things are. The '06 adaptation (if it is one) could be brilliant from what we've seen so far.

The closest thing to a Sonic Battle adaptation I could get behind is the Floating Island Guardians being redesigned to look more like the Gizoids. You look at them now, there actually is a little resemblance there already (though coincidental), I think the artists/writers could go all the way and make the Guardians capable of copying or adapting to the powers and abilities of their enemies.

The only problem with doing adaptations is they would about kill the flow of STC-O. Whereas in the print comics, months at a time could be spent writing stories about whatever game was out, STC-O simply doesn't have that luxury because while a six-parter in STC would take three months, it could feasibly take three years in STC-O, by which point everyone's moved past the original game. Similarly, STC's writers could react to fan demand much quicker, whereas anything STC-O's writers write may take a number of years to see light- consider it's almost 2012 and STC-O is just now implementing elements of Sonic '06.
I think STC-O is better off simply taking elements of the games or characters and putting them in original stories. Anything else would make the actual advancement of the plot take too long, or else mean the comic would never be able to move away from game adaptations.

Me personally, I like to imagine "Gaia energy" as derived from the elements, whereas "Chaos energy" is derived from the life force in all things. Likewise, psychic energy derives purely from oneself, and given time, becomes the most dangerous accordingly - you don't need a refill!
As such, Sonic could very easily be corrupted into the Werehog(triggered by exposure to dark Gaia energy) without it conflicting with the Chaos-based Super Sonic persona. Plus, it could be done right - no wimpy "I'm infected with darkness but my soul's so strong I can't be corrupted" nonsense this time around.
...of course, that would mean likely invoking Chip. And Chip's a base breaker supreme.
The Werehog also is a different type of corruption - his emphasis is on raw physical power, whereas Super Sonic is an energy superweapon. Compare a cannonball to a laser, or some such.
Of course, it'd take one heck of a twisting to adapt Unleashed, but given how the writers so far have done well with adapting what they choose to, I'm sure they'd find a way to twist it to make it their own.
Instead of Eggman causing Sonic's transformation, I imagine it'd be Zachary, attempting to tap Super's power for his own devices. Something would go wrong, of course, and instead of being infused with chaos energy, he'd be infused with dark gaia energy instead. ...of course, such an awesome power source is worth seeking out in itself, so any villain worth their salt would take interest in "Dark Gaia." The Gaia Force, deriving its power from the raw strength of nature, rather than one's thoughts and dreams as Chaos does.
Colors could be done right, though would need quite a few twists as Eggman's not sane enough to start an amusement park. Some other villain would have to do it, or a new one created. Of course, it could be a loose adaption, true to StC tradition, which would involve multiple worlds thematically similar to the ones in Colors. (Turbo making a surprise appearance in 3... 2.. 1...)

just so you know i'm already working on an epic pitch to stiv that I think the fans have been waiting for. Something I feel we haven't done for a while a good 6 part epic story, it's hard because of artist's not having the time, but i'm committed to drawing the whole thing myself. I want to explore all the elements of the game in the stc way so keep you eye out in 2012-2013

We tend to follow the Sonic Adventure model of adapting games - where we incorporate elements into the existing STC universe rather than doing a full-blown adaptation.
Personally I'm not doing any of that myself on the basis that I haven't actually played a new Sonic game since Shadow the Hedgehog. (Although I seem to have accidentally adapted Sonic Generations in the last issue.) But my Cream story is *finally* in the process of being drawn so hopefully that should show up in the near future.

I too personally would very much enjoy to see Cream into the comic. Happy to know mabe she'll make it.......(for next year pehaps...) for the rest.....no really I don't care for adaptations too much even though I must confess I am working personally right now on a "Sonic Generations" adaptation. But it's so absurd that you all should just forghet I just said that....>_>

I'm sure it's not absurd!
This is slightly off topic, but seeing as STC-O tends not to do strict adapations from Sonic games, and seeing as there have been a couple of mentions here of people developing scripts, are we allowed to post our ideas of storylines?
To be absolutely clear, I don't honestly expect anything to be incorperated into the comic, but I would love to share my version of the story, just to see what others think of it. Is this allowed? Would I have to start another thread?

Post anything you like. The only ideas I write are the ones I come up with. (Except for the ideas I steal from The West Wing.)

It's a play on a reference from Friends (Joey was on the search for his 'Identical Hand Twin' in one episode. Although that would require a knowledge of Friends, and maybe you don't get that in Italy?!
