What have been your awesome gaming moments? What have you done before - usually against a human opponent - that just struck you as "awesome!" ? --- My fondest memory would be a game of Red Alert 2 I once played, with eight players. I was using Allied technology, and a Soviet opponent was destroyed except for his conyard. So my one ally, who was dead except for a few units, said to cover him as he rushed an engineer to take it. Moments before he captured it, I pressed Ctrl(which forces attacks) and ordered my infantry to kill his engineer. My engineer took it instead right afterward. He was MAD. Really mad. He ordered all his pitiful armies to attack me in response, and I performed a mercy killing. Everyone else was laughing their asses off. In retrospect, I should have sent, as a message: "Cover you? I thought you said SMOTHER you! My bad. " -- This one's probably common: once in a Brawl match, I was on the verge of defeat. As Falco, however, I got a Smash Ball and was able to use cheap tactics to reset everyone to one life. They're naturally mad, but it puts us all close enough that I'm able to completely and utterly own them all.

Also most of Shenmue.

1) Pokémon Stadium was on display in Burger King, frickin' ages ago. I beat my brother's team of a Bulbasaur, Charmander, and Squirtle with just a Magnemite. 2) Once I got slightly drunk and did a no-hit run of Burst Man in Mega Man 7. 3) My friends were up for a game of Brawl, circa 2008. It was a 4-way stock match, and it came down to me and my friend: both with really high percentages, but him with two lives and me with one. I managed to take him out first, but now it looked like a done deal as I was in high percentage with him at 0. He drop-kicked from the spawn, and just as he did one of those wheeled crates appeared. He landed on it and went careering off the edge. 4) Slender Man and I almost puking with laughter at Rayman Origins.
If we're talking about just awesome moments in general, Rayman 2's The Precipice is pretty much perfect. A real masterpiece: the soundtrack follows what you do, the stakes are high (with you making your way along precarious platforms with a pirate battleship chasing you), and all in all it's just really well done.

Clearing Horde mode in Gears 3. However, I actually died in the last wave and it was up to my two squadmates to go on without me (I couldn't buy back in since I spent all my cash on Silverback repairs). Luckily the last boss wave was Gunkers. I'd take them over Bezerkers any day.
Playing Counter-Strike many years ago, just me versus five other guys who were (supposedly) more experienced players than me. For at least three rounds straight, I whooped their asses! ;D
Getting every achievement in Mass Effect 2... which was ruined when I re-purchased the game last year and got the DLC packs. ><

Killed the entire enemy team without reloading or letting go of the trigger in a game on Black Ops. 35 round clip.
Beat a kid at Mortal Kombat II with my back turned to the screen.
Got to the top of the scoreboard on every Guitar Hero Arcade machine I've ever played on.
Got a flawless game on Modern Warfare 3 with the SPAS 12 without the damage proficiency.

Single-handedly made an entire team paranoid about Spies in a Payload Race. One of my team-mates then said, in a thick Russian accent: "ShayMay, you make enemy team think there are many Spies!" I got a compliment from a Russian... about my espionage. It was at this point that I stopped playing for a while. I was addicted to that game for the longest time.

Oh yes. One time I was playing Sonic Unleashed. My one ex-friend was playing with me, and we were giving Chun-Nan Day a try. Now, hilarity ensued. He tried first, and kept stumbling over the stepped parts of the wall. I on the other hand, timed my boosts and jumps perfectly, allowing me to keep moving forward flawlessly. His comment? "Show off." Don't be mad I'm awesome, bro. --- The same friend once stormed off in a rage during a Brawl match. I was Sonic and he was Ike, and it was a group brawl with four players. I won the match by running away during the last few seconds, and he was mad and stormed off. Yes, god forbid I actually use strategy to secure victory. Your "honor" and "mano a mano" are obsolete! >:C Then again he always retired after about three or four matches if he didn't win any. An arrogant, spiteful person he is, and can't stand losing. -- Of course, the usual story in Brawl where me and my opponent are both KO'd at the same time, but since I enjoy a star death, I win the match. Gotta love the rage that inspires. ...I find stirring the pot of people's anger awesome. I'm a horrible person.

To be honest, it sounds more like your friends really can't stand losing.

Given that I've only had two friends since I moved out here(one of which I no longer have), that means 50%, yes, cannot stand it. Coming from a pampered background, he has an aristocratic personality(or at least, the negative aspects of it) and so expects victory because he is "the best." He liked to attempt to break all my records to further his own bloated ego. I suppose I do my part to break such illusions of self-importance! --- What I also find awesome is fighting in GTA IV and its expansions. For fun factor, I don't fight with machine guns. I fight with a pistol and just headshot everyone else. Very showoffy, but it's also a great challenge! It's just like in the movies!

Back in university, I returned from the pub one night after a few shandies and wandered in to my flatmate's room to find him playing Counter-Strike against some Americans who had presumably just got up. I persuaded him to lend me his headset, cracked out my complete works of Shakespeare and started reciting some of Othello's soliloquies down the mic, while he continued playing and doing a fine job of thrashing them. They were confused and annoyed. I was amused.

A few summers ago, I shared a house with two French people, two Spaniards and a guy from Portugal.
Whoever said math is the universal language never played Smash Bros. Brawl.
Also, that same year, I didn't make it home for my birthday due to floods, and me and my German roommate stayed up until three with Brawl.
Brawl transcends all cultural and language boundaries.

He was a few seconds from the finish in first with me in second. Rolled a bomb which curved perfectly for 100 metres straight into his kart; gaining me first place in the process. - beating all my mates on Smash Bros Melee, 3 on 1 while showing off XD. - Gears of War 3 online deathmatch, Last man standing, 3 people on my tail; wall kick to sawn-off, Lancer the next guy and finish off with another sawn-off to the face. Being clutch in Gears of War 3 is epic.

One well-placed item will suddenly see you in first place. The rage it inspires in the person who gets hit, meanwhile, makes it SO worth it. That's very impressive. Was it with a light or heavy character? Ike can just pwn if one spams his attacks.
