Speaking of Digimon, has there ever been a boxset of the complete dubbed Adventure series? It's one of the few kids anime series that's actually decent but some of us (like me) never got to see how it all ended because CITV were dicks and didn't show the last few episodes, then went and bloody aired the first few episodes of Tamers and not bothered with the rest!

Ditto this. They also skipped the middle chunk of Adventure series 1 (with Wizardmon etc) and went straight to airing the dark masters arc all the way to the end, only returning to the skipped episodes ages later when it hardly mattered anymore. As far as I'm aware, no sign of any complete Digimon sets in the UK full stop, which sucks major arse. There's two DVD's of Adventure series 1: "Volume One", containing eps 1-5, and "Togemon in Toy Town" (as opposed to Volume Two ), containing eps 6-8. That's genuinely it, and I have them both. I don't hold out much hope for any Digimon series ever actually being released on DVD in its entirety. It would be but a dream, alas whoever holds the rights here (if anyone) are clearly choosing to be twacticians about the whole thing. A fun footnote: I was the guy that wrote about this very series and its CITV woes on TV Tropes' "Screwed By The Network" page. Was underneath the "Western Animation" section oddly, as a follow on from Reboot's screwage, which leads in to CITV's screwing of programs in general. Have since moved it to the bottom of the "Anime" section.

You're right in doing so, it's a good movie.
Better than the Pokémon ones.
[censored]ing Mewtwo and Mew fighting like two bouncy balls. That's terrible.

Sometimes I have trouble appreciating just how huge Pokémon was about fourteen or so years ago. I mean, I know it's still pretty popular, but it seemed like it was basically everywhere in 1998.
Eh, it's probably just nostalgia.

Nah, it's not just nostalgia, there really was a pretty absurd boom in the late nineties. Nintendo had the marketing machines on full power.
There was a bloody musical.

In Japan, there have been multiple stage musicals based on Bleach.

A musical? As in a live on stage musical? Good lord... It's pretty common, from what I've heard. A lot of toku guys got their start in Prince of Tennis stage shows. And here is the first part. Also, anyone able to help me out? I was browsing /m/ earlier today, and I saw a few caps from an anime. There was something about a (birthday?) cake that they recieved from DK-do and/or D-endo. As a Kamen Rider fan, I feel the need to watch this. Some guys in the thread were talking about something vaguely Lovecraftian, dunno how accurate that is. Any ideas?

Please don't do this again. If you wouldn't mind deleting those Simpsons images so we can maintain a consistent tone that would be great. Been watching Kore No Zombie Desu Ka Of the Dead, sequel series to the original Kore No Zombie Desu Ka. If you like crossdressing Magical Ladyboys, Vampire Ninjas and Necromancers I'd recommend giving it a look. Every episode so far has been wonderful.

I've just found out Negima ended this year. Now, admittedly I hadn't been keeping track of it, but I had heard Akamatsu was going to end it around four hundred chapters. He didn't fall too far short of that, though. I guess he ran out of ideas? Did he draw it out?

I guess he ran out of ideas? Did he draw it out? Much more likely had a spat with his editor and [censored]ed it off. Cheers Robert, that's a good segué.

I had a bit of alook on Google. There was some kind of copyright dispute owing to a new law being introduced in Japan, from what I can tell.

If this has the Japanese dub, you should definitely buy it. If it doesn't you should definitely buy it anyway 'cos it's one of the raddest shows; continually visually stimulating, lovably over-the-top and with a soundtrack that's been a mainstay of my iPod since 2010.
Impressions: Garter's voice is great and the script is very well-handled. I'm just left a bit cold by Panty and Stocking's actresses. The voices fit perfectly but their delivery is so flat. "[censored] it, let's go" sounds like a fandub!

It'll have the original Japanese track, they always do. Also, Manga UK have licensed it so it'll hit the UK soon enough. Some fandubs are awesome.
