That guy had his case thrown out of court. So, no. No delay.
Also, it's worth pointing out that Nintendo seems to be sporting an all-black Wii U in everything demonstrated so far with the final model. Everything in their pre-E3 conference was a black system, everything on the show floor (that's been leaked out ahead of the start of the show later today) has been the black system. Looks like they're kicking the white Wii U out the door and launching with black. That'd be a good move - not only 'cos black is cooler than white, but because in sticking with that name they really need something to SHOUT at people that the Wii U is not just a new controller for the Wii. A noticeably different system should help with that.
Kinect and sports sport sports for Microsoft. And then a bunch of stuff that's probably gonna be US exclusive and has nothing to do with games whatsoever. There was barely anything to do with games in this conference. And then they had Usher there for no [censored]ing reason and Jesus Christ if gun laws weren't as strict in this country I wouldn't be able to type this as my family would be fighting over what should be done with my [censored]ing body.
Sony gave us a God of War that's exactly the same as the previous three (which is to say, absolutely brilliant, but nothing new) and a ctrl + c of Uncharted in a post apocalypse scenario. And that Heavy Rain telekinesis thing. Admittedly some of that stuff really did catch my attention, but nothing groundbreaking or particularly worth raving about.
I'm a man on the edge right now. If Nintendo don't impress me, then the blood is on all of these [censored]s' hands. I'm out. Not out of gaming, but out of this world.
It's been a pleasure to know some of you. The rest of you can GO TO [censored]ING HELL
One thing people really need to keep in mind for E3 is that this isn't the show it once was. These days, E3 is basically the equivalent of the Consumer Electronics Show - it's the media outlet for all these companies to tell the mainstream press, who otherwise don't really pay any attention, what massive thing is coming to make those who don't play games as much as we do go out and buy these things.
That's why a lot of Microsoft and Sony's conferences have been really bipolar of late - and why Nintendo's have been universally awful since the fall of the Revolution and the advent of the Wii. They've got some big reveals in there for the 'core' gamers, but stuff like dancing games, entertainment apps and even [censored]ing more [censored]ty Playstation move accessories are what appeal to the rest of the people that buy the consoles. Those people in turn fund games like the show stealing Watch Dogs. So, it's all good in the end.
Conferences without hardware reveals always tend to be quite weak anyway - and Microsoft and Sony were basically this year attempting to do anything but reveal new hardware.
Out of Microsoft's show, what games they did show, although completely and utterly par for the course, were pretty solid looking. I have to actually say that the new Halo looks like it'll be a lot better than the previous ones - so that's both surprised and intrigued me. The Smart Glass stuff is basically the best they had to offer, though.
Sony did at least manage to tempt me towards a Vita at last with that Assassin's Creed bundle. Both The Last Of Us and Beyond look as great as I'd expect them to, and Kratos giving an elephant man brain surgery seems like an instant sell as well.
I think I've seen enough of the non-Nintendo stuff to keep me happy for another 365 days, so I'm not too bothered that the shows were pretty predictable. Ubisoft knocking it out of the park with a brand new IP, though, that caught me out. So far, I'm walking away from E3 with a completely new game at the top of my most wanted list - and that's pretty nice.
Also, this is amusing:
