I think Sega Amy is just a figment of Sonic's imagination... yeah, she's Sonic's Tyler Durden.

So Sega Heritage Collection is a thing now. Interviews and the such.
Apparently Sonic Adventure 2 is the Gamecube port (With Big the Cat put back in) and the Battle extras is going to be DLC. Which is silly if there is no online multiplayer because with the exception of a *few* level design changes (City Escape having a small tunnel thing added, Crazy Gadget having an iron box to land on if the light dash [censored]ed up) All Sonic Adventure 2 Battle was more Multiplayer.

I guess SA2 is now a legendary game. Who knew?
EDIT: Is the public really that hungry for SA2 multiplayer that they'd buy it as added content?

All three of those games suck. Hilariously crap offering.
Congrats on the dubs, John.

Sega "heritage"?! Lol, whut? Also, can I just say I'm probably more interested in the NiGHTs relaunch, seeing as I never played it before and I want to see what all that fuss was about?!

"If you played these games on the console they were originally released on, YOU HAVEN'T PLAYED THEM AT ALL." That's an interesting bit of marketing...
But hey, [censored] to SA2, Jet Set Radio's back!

I didn't like the originally JSR... but JSRF holds a special place for me! Interesting marketing indeed; I don't seem to be seeing an HD reskinning. SA2 having multiplayer just strikes me as odd. The MP in it was never that great, and once you got an advantage it became stupid easy to crush your foe. Contrast to say SSB Brawl, which despite some balance issues, can still go either way. (Having your ass handed to you by someone who has two less lives than you is always good) Being too easy is boring, too hard is infuriating. Balance is key, and that applies as much to MP as single player. Yes, I'm the SA2 fanboy, admitting that its MP features kind of suck. Go figure.

So this is out on the PS3, and to get it with multiplayer it'll cost around £10, more or less. If you choose to drop money on this you are willing your own destruction. You [censored]ing hate yourself. Why would you actually buy this? It's crap.

Did you buy it? hahaha! I played it on my stepdad's GameCube years ago. It was alright, I guess... but I didn't finish it. That's probably the only reason why I would get it (might do when it comes to Steam...) - well, finishing it and nostagly feels. As it's not a game I grew up with, I don't feel as attached to it as a game as say Sonic CD which made me leap up and down a few times...

It was one of the five games I got when I first got my GameCube, Christmas Day 2002. If I desire to play some of this again then I'm quite content with that version, frankly. Certainly not working on getting the 174 emblems I've got so far all over again. It's not that good.

Playing SA2 on the Gamecube is the reason I started giving a [censored] about the franchise again after STC had crippled itself into reprint oblivion and the Mega Drive was long gone. There's a list longer than my arm with what's wrong with the game, but it still manages to succeed in actually being enjoyable.
I'll get it on Steam when it goes on sale.

Well, yes me too. I hadn't gone near the franchise since Flickies Island or my last STC. Hearing the new voice actors was a bit of a shock (I hadn't played SA1 at the time...) but I found it enjoyable enough as a game. I also pestered my sister into playing 2 player so I could finally play as Amy! XD

Well L and R triggers are also mapped to the secondary analogue stick. Which is nice.
Seems to be a decent enough port. Basically Gamecube port.
Still missing playing as Knuckles in 3D.
Edit: Forgot how clunky the story mode is. Forgot how unfun Tails's levels are. Forgot about the kart racing handling.
Seriously [censored] the cars. Tails needed that health power up Eggman gets and Rouge kinda needs that infinite air boost Knuckles gets.

I got it even though I viciously loathe it. I'm an idiot and all my misery is self-inflicted. I can't afford Sonic cocksucking Adventure [censored]ing 2. I hate Sonic Adventure 2. I hated it even on Dreamcast. And Gamecube when I re-bought it, even though I hated it. And now on Steam I will hate it, and I will buy the [censored] DLC when it's on sale because I'm a stupid [censored] who even now is too far gone into this [censored]hole franchise.

Hmm. Well, I've played a bit of the Hero story... and so far I'm actually quite liking it. I kinda like Sonic's (and therefore Shadow's seeing as the game styles are the same..) and Tails levels (except why the hell is he stuck in a mech?! Why can't I play normal Tails style?! Waah.) but I frigging hate treasure hunting. I'm sure I have said this before, probs in 2004 or something like that! In Sonic Adventure, you get the radar for all three fragments - this time you just get one and the clues are pretty much useless. Blargh. And what the hell is up with Knuckles' level music?! Robotnik Eggman's music is great, though... I'm gonna go Clement and say E.G.G.M.A.N is a badass theme tune. :B Also, the voice acting. Ugh. My ears are bleeding. I wanted Tails to throw Amy into the ocean at Prison Island, she pissed me off so much... As for how they look, I didn't like Amy's redesign at the time but today I'm used to it. I don't mind the character models so much, either. Yes, I don't care what colour Sonic's eyes are! It was the early 2000s so I don't expect perfect graphics, although again I think I prefer SADXs... Sonic for example is fuuuuuugly in this, and those Soap shoes are ridiculous. Meh. It's fun to play (in parts) and it's giving me nostalgia feels, but I'm kinda cynical that Sega are doing this - they know that suckers like us (Sonic fans are idiots, what can I say! ) will snap stuff like this up in a second. I liked Sonic CD, it was great to play it again and I've been playing the [censored] out of it, I love it so much. I don't remember liking it that much when I bought it on PC before. SADX has been fun as well, apart from Chao - so perhaps I shouldn't be so grumpy. I didn't get to play this game much the first time around, and I never got to play Sonic the Fighters, their next planned re-release, at all so perhaps I should be happy Sega are re-releasing their old games.

I always found Knuckles' and Rouge's levels more tolerable than Tails and Eggman's in SA2. Except those space levels, those can [censored] off.

Security Hall.
ARRRRRRRRRGHHHH!! >.<
Also, [censored]ing Omochao. *kicks him in the face* Well, Chao in general annoy me. I have one in SADX, and now I have two of the buggers in this. Although petting one as Eggman is hilarious, he sounds like a perve. Yeeeorrrrsh!

I got an amazing Omochao moment on that Sonic level with the meteor shower.
I don't remember his exact dialogue but it was basically "Watch out for falling me--" WHUMPHHHHHH one landed right on the little [censored]er. He did not get up. The high point of SA2B for me.

I don't find it cynical personally - whatever sells well enough to keep Sega afloat is alright with me. They've given me untold hours of joy, far more than the hours of misery enduring, for example, Frog Forest. And they seem to really respect their roots, which is surprisingly rare. I bought Jet Set Radio, which I hate, and I'll buy NiGHTS which is awful, because I want to support re-releases in the hope we get Daytona on Steam!

I don't find it cynical personally - whatever sells well enough to keep Sega afloat is alright with me. Oh of course... my bf buys Football Manager every year and I often make comments about him supporting Sega! I realise I contradicted myself in that post - while I get the impression it's "Sonic fans will buy anything we release with his mug on it!", it's also because I pretty much am one of those suckers! I bought this (and to be honest - I'm actually kinda liking it. ), I want to get NiGHTS as I never got to play it before... and eventually I'll get Generations (I'm building up to it!). I'm also sort of gutted that Colo(u)rs didn't get released for the 360 or PC. I've seen some of the cutscenes and I bloody love the characterisation. It's like Sonic is Sonic again, cracking bad jokes, talking to dead robots and moonwalking I mean, how '90s is that?! XD Of course I'd rather support Sega. I'd love to see them as a major player again but I doubt that will ever happen. *sigh*

Mambo, how good is your PC? You could run Colours on the Dolphin emulator if you buy a copy - I have 4gb RAM and an ATI card which isn't amazing and it runs perfectly.
