Message Zone changesThe Board has been under a semi lock down for a long time (this was meant to be temporary), but as you guy may have realised us humes can be quite slow when Megadroid not on our backs the Old Droid came down to see us today and as a result we've made a couple of small changes. The Control Zone and Message Zone (The comic, sonic's world, arcade and Eldorado Zone's) are now visible to all guests. As ever registering is needed to post on the forum, and no rules have changed.

Why has the arcade zone inexplicably moved?

And the Eldorado and Graphics Zones.
Personally, I think the guest visibility should apply only to the Start Here and Sonic The Comic subsections. It's all visitors need to see, really, as these sections relate to the running and rules of the board and the comic itself respectively. The rest is just general community stuff that should really be an option. It's all I saw when I first joined, as far as I remember.

for reasons mentioned above were trying to keep personal things private, i.e the lounge, graphics and metropolis, but move general chat to be more open in line with what the forum used to be like.
The reason we've opened it back up, is hiding the board was meant to only be temporary but we're aware people might have posted more private things because of the closed nature of the forum.
This was a half and half solution to try and open the forum more, but keep users personal conversations as private as ever as much media discussion became open again
and graphic which is personal was moved,
This isn't set in stone and we welcome feedback.

It's basically to divide the forum into viewable to guests, and hidden from guests. Proboards doesn't allow finer tuning than that! :s But as Matt said, if anyone has any comments, concerns etc about putting the forum back into public mode then please let us know.

I don't really care, I was just extremely confused when I logged on.

I don't really care, I was just extremely confused when I logged on. to be honest I didn't think anyone would be, but you never can tell what people will have view on and what people will think is deadly important. In my head it's just a bit of long over due spring cleaning
