I heard about this yesterday, sounds interesting. I also was thinking recently I wish there was a new Sonic cartoon, and looks like it may be coming true in the no so distant future.

Considering his only credits with anime are in the localization of some episodes, I'd wager western animation, likely looking something like MLP, Teen Titans Go, or Maggie.

And then be entirely miffed when this show actually exists and people like it despite it being "lol well random" for the sake of "lol well random".

It's metaphorical honey, man, you can't actually [censored] on it.  I disagree with the "lol well random" assertion for both shows. I can kind of see where you're coming from with Go!, as it does sometimes feel like it's trying to spark a meme (the Sandwich Guardians, for example, that whole "I like pie" song), but I've never really found either to be particularly non-sequitir or left-field in nature. |

Good grief, that's five different series (serii?) the franchise has had now. That's some going. Dave Polsky, writer of several My Little Pony scripts Y'know, even now that still sounds like an incredibly odd detail to start with. It's like if you'd started the thread with "Maria Minestra, writer of Debbie Does Dallas".  |

I did that cos MLP and Scary Movie are probably the only things he's done that people round here will have heard of/seen. (And his Pony eps are probably closer to what his Sonic would look like - or would it...?) |

I dunno. His portfolio looks quite varied. He's done South Park as well, which is a rather obscure series no-one round here will have heard of, but rest assured it's mightily different from the two aforementioned programmes. I'd be interested to find out eventually who's going to draw/animate this series, and what they do in regards to casting. Can't say I'd be much interested in the show itself though, series based on the Sonic franchise invariably turn out to be clangers!  |

I had actually read "South Park" on his list of work but somehow forgot I had, because "that's just Parker & Stone writing it" - and I'm wrong, they had a bunch of co-writers in the early days! According to IMDB, he's "additional scenes" on the episode Damien and co-writer on Pinkeye back in S1. Can I still assume nobody on here is familiar with The Donny & Marie Show? |

I haven't heard of it, then again, I gave up on TV two years ago due it having nothing but sucktastic programs on the air constantly, so yeah.
A new cartoon does sound good, but I'd like to see what its about before I start cheering, for all I know, this could end up as a lovecraftian mixture of Satam and Underground with another Chris Thorndyke added into the cast.

That Knuckles silhouette is really ugly.
Sonic looks like he's wearing a jacket. Amy doesn't look like she's wearing a skirt. So I suspect these re-designs will be isolated to this show.
