I've recently been adding Sonic the Conic content to Scratchpad, a site where fictional characters are compared to each other and given "parodies", cast lists for versions of other works, with them as the star. I have added 13 characters to the Scratchpad website. Previously, it only had SEGA, X, AOSTH, Archie, Underground, and Satam characters. These are: Grimer Wormtounge Master Scholar Johnny Lightfoot Porker Lewis Tekno Shortfuse Ebony Metamorphia Marxio Bros (as one entry) Megatox Emperor Ko-Dorr Anyone want to help me out here? The STC section of the site is right here; scratchpad.wikia.com/wiki/Category:Sonic_the_Comic_Characters

Grimer's name isn't Wormtongue.

Adding to Tom's point, you're thinking of "GrĂma Wormtongue", who is a character from the Lord of the Rings novels. Nothing to do with STC.

Grimer was (erroneously) called Grimer Wormtongue in one of the Data Zones, though.

I'd always pronounced his name "Grim-er" but as it turns out, it's actually pronounced it "Grime-er" (I first learned this from Richard Elson at a convention, just in case there's people wondering if my info is legit). And I always wondered if there was some kind of weird connection between the characters. I think I remember Grimer being described as Wormtounge too... which confused me even more.

Nigel Kitching said in Speedlines that the name derives from the LOTR character - although at the time he was sure it was a character from the relatively obscure Gormenghast. And this Speedlines debate is presumably what later led to the Data Zone error by a subsequent editor (who'd had to get up to speed on all things STC in a hurry - the same reason why Grimer's profile also erroneously stated that he only cares about saving his own skin).
