Confirmed: A new CGI/Live Action Sonic movie coming soon

Yes, I did notice a thread about the possibility of a Sonic movie further down, but it's now been confirmed.

Looking to launch a new family film franchise, Sony Pictures Entertainment has teamed with SEGA Sammy Group division Marza Animation Planet to develop a hybrid/live action and CG-animated feature film based on the Sonic The Hedgehog video game series...

The plan is to release one movie per year. Pic will focus on Sonic’s rivalry with characters from the vidgame, including his evil nemesis Dr. Eggman. Sonic uses his stature as world’s fastest hedgehog to move at supersonic speed to protect his friends from their enemies.

So live action, that implies to me a Chris Thorndyke character... But maybe a live action eggman too? Who do you think who be a good choice for chewing some scenery then?

okay....um...why does this have to be a live action movie? I love sonic and all but...WHY!? this might turn out like that dragon ball z live action movie man I HATE that movie(disclamer I LOVE dbz!)why not a cartoon movie like sonic the hedgehog movie that movie was awesome!

Who's ready for "Sonic x" 2.0 version? 'cause seriously I can't picture a live action/CG movie of Sonic if not as a mashup of Sonic x, the Smurfs with a touch of Looney Toons back in action's nonsense.

Still let's hope for best, because apparently there is going to be more than one.

Instead of Sonic X and Looney Tunes, I was going to say Sonic 06 (Elise, anyone?) and Alvin and the Chipmunks... That's a horrifying thought!
