30 years, eh. And to think this thread will still be on the first page of results for this section by the time the 40th anniversary comes around.
Genuinely though, if it wasn't for this cartoon hedgehog's existence, I wouldn't have been on this forum in the first place, nor would I have had the pleasure of knowing so many cool people, many of whom I'm still in touch with today, and have the privilege to call friends. People who have gone on to some awesome creative projects as a result of this fandom, be they videos, books, podcasts, articles, games... not to mention a certain webcomic, of course.
While this place has fallen into significant disrepair in the several years since it was last a significant hive of activity, it is reassuring to know it's still here. To anyone who happens to be passing through, old, new, people I'm still in touch with, or anyone I haven't met or spoken to for years; I hope you're all doing well, in your own ways. Cheers for the memories. And thanks for accommodating this weird & somewhat problematic teenager in his formative years, & being a generally good bunch.
There are three things I try to live by:
1) Never tell a bride the day before her wedding day that "there is a problem"
2) Nothing good happens after 2AM - just go to bed.

It has been a wild 30 years, being 35 now it is no exaggeration to say this blue hedgehog has been part of my life for most of it, and it brought a ton of enjoyment to my life even when it felt like the series was on it's last legs. The Symphony really struck a deep, deep nostalgic vein in me that i'm still exploring right now, and coming back here is part of that. It was such a big part of my life through my teens and early 20s enjoying StC-O and interacting here... my major regret is just drifting away from it all and how I treated the few people I stayed in touch with from here.
I don't know if there'll be much more activity here (I guess most of it is focused on the Discord these days), but I want to stick around for a while at least. Either way I hope you are all doing well, I hope that you all continue to stay safe and do well in the coming years. Here's to the next 30!
