gamecube isn't twice as powerful as dreamcast. just, the PS2 seemed to take over, dunno why as its not as powerful

The most powerful console at any given time is never the most popular.
Jaguar....
N64.....
X-box....
Okay, I know the X-box is doing very nicely thanks very much but it's still a way behind.

true. I have an xbox, but it suffers from lack of decent games. I know I may get some arguements here but for me, all the best ones are sega games

It was, however, the best SONIC FMV. That's what most of us are saying.

actually n64 was really popular (at least here it was) but ... what are we suppose to be talking about sa1 and sa2... yea I think sa2 was better but the fack they can't tell the differece between the hedghogs is dooo dumb otherwise it rules. though both sa1 and sa2 ruined knuckles those were the worst levels ever.

i was just playing SA2 earlier, and now i'm even more determined to buy an import copy of sonic heroes so I can listen to the proper voices again.

The only voices I have problems with are Sonics and Vectors.
I mean Charmys and Creams and Tails's voices are annoying but then little kids voices always are anoying. Unless they adjusted the characters age I don't think there could be a whole lot of improvement.
Actually It would be cool to have a more mature themed game with them all 10 years older.

i just can't stand any of them. to me, the sonic voices are the ones on SA1/2 and Sonic X (i always stick the original voices on SA1/2)

Oh, I really like Vector's voice. My only beef is with Cream's voice really - she doesn't sound like a little girl at all, but some kind of high-pitched, insane thing. Oh, and I hate Big and Amy's voices. So, all of Team Rose, really. Everyone else is fine. ;D

i think cream's voice was done by an adult in an attempt to sound like a kid. woudn't be teh first time they've tried that, doesn't work

The best example of bad voice acting in a Sonic game has to belong to SA1. In Tails' story, just after escaping from the Egg Carrier.
"There's Eggman. I wonder what happened to Sonic?"
I laughed out loud when I first heard that line with the robotic voice acting.

what about on SA when the police are trying to shoot chaos and they are unsuccessful and one of them shouls
"Oh no! Our weapons are useless!"
unfortunalty, I hadn't sussed the language option at this point so I had to carry on with the english voices. me and my brother just looked at each other and we both said, "Bet thats not on the Japanese version"

if I watch/play anything that was originally japanese, then I watch/play it in japanese. especially anime films. voice actors get paid far too much. as for which game is better.. i'd say sa2. now I like sa. but there are far too many glitches, the gamma/big levels are kinda boring and amy... reveals... in the character select screen. oh yeah and as for sa: dx, I thik the person who was animating those models was on something.. I mean sonic's running animations stopped about 3 seconds before sonic stops moving in those cut-scenes...

still, you gotta remember it was one of the first dreamcast games, by the time SA2 came, they had time to sort out some of those glitches. but I see what you're saying, some of the games on it *cough Big's* were dull to the max!

ahh, but i'm refering to DX. they had years to sort out glitches.. but I must have died about 5 times in a row from clippings errors when sonic dissapeared through the walls of a half pipe in the first level.

ah yes, on that I agree with, on DX, all they did was spuce up the graphics a bit. I got it for the game gear games only.

i got it becuase I never owned a dreamcast. ;D i couldn't beleive how inferior it was to sa2... the game stutters.. well maybe that's not the word, but it's not smooth gameplay. also I took one look at the "human" models ad shut the gamecube off to go cry for an hour.

You know, I really like Tails' voice in Sonic Heroes, it fits because im fairly sure the kid doing the voice *IS* the same age as tails.
I hated Tails's voice in the SA games because, like its been said, he was so robotic and sounded like he-was-reading-from-a-cue-card-really-slowly
He was also the kid from Star wars episode one. You know, Anakin, one who becomes darth vader.
Now you can commence hating him even more.

i like tails' voice in the japanese games and sonic x, its perfect, and its the original language? why change it?

well in the case of sonic x, they change it because its for little kids. little kids dont want to think about things, so reading subtitles isnt their idea of fun.
esspecially if they have trouble reading, which a lot of kids do.
