Has anyone played either Sonic Chaos or Sonic Tripple trouble? I discoverd theres games in old review zones in STC. They are old games from the Master system and Game gear.
Sonic chaos was reviewed in issue 24 Tripple trouble issue 43
I was wondering what they were like as they seem to be forgoton in the general view of sonic game lists.

well I dont' know about the uk but we didn't have master system but we did have game gear but it wasn't very popoular so not many people have heard of those games. actually most of sega's systems died withinn a year of coming out. eg. saturn, game gear, dreamcast. only genisis/mega drive did well. (in america we had genisis instead of mega drive but they were the same thing)

Well I had Sonic Chaos (UK) and Imloved it, it had the original rocket shoes and a great level design. Not to mention it was really hard at times, and outragiously easy at others! Pretty cool game.

Retrogamers right,
i still have sonic chaos for the master system and the levels were great, you could play as sonic or tails in this game and had weird special stages which automaticaly goes onto when you have 100 rings (i think, its been a while since I played it) and had clock things in the special stage to give you more time on it, and sometimes you are on a hover board and have loads of big rings which gives you 10 rings each time the game is great and I think the first level was called turquoise hill zone ( I think) its worth getting Hades, have a look on ebay and you might see one there.

I found it hard! especially when robotnik shoots the ball that bounces around the room which keeps catching me,
i also liked the zone with it in, with those lazer things on the roofs!

I have Sonic Chaos on Master System, but have not played it, because I do not own a Master System. Woot.

I wont even ask why you have the game but no system, unless it died like my Mega Drive (May it rest in glory...)
Yeah I cant exactly remember the ball, but the hard bit I found for some reason was when he charges you in the inflatable boat thingy look-a-like as his last form.

For those who don't know, I collect the games. For instance, I have Sonic Jam and Sonic R, but no Saturn. I AM, however, bidding on one now, with NiGHTS to boot. I'll get a Master System eventually.
Oh, and try SA: DX.

If I remember, you had to hit Robotnik exactly - if you hit the craft you died. Gamer kids today think they've got it hard, etc, etc....

Ah another true retro gamer is here with me in the form of Samface... Good to see others stick tothe old ways of Sonic skills and difficulty, and you are right these currentones are WAY too easy.
Ah the quality of gamers sure has fallen with all these new fangled graphics..
*Goes off and grumbles a lot about new games*

When I were a lad we didn't get all these fancy pants save games with every single game, only the ones that lasted 90 hours...
(Seriously! My first time through Shining Force III took about 90 hours. I think I'm just rubbish.)
What's with all this cel-shading then? I got cells, plenty of 'em, all over an' inside me! Never asked for them to be shaded, never want them to be shaded!
And STEALTH? Pah, in my day you weren't considered a man til you could take down a room full of pig cops with only yer foot in five seconds flat....

Samface: I hear ya, on Shining Force III. I was like that with SF2 first time I played it, though hundreds of hours poured into that allowed me to beat SF3 in a cool 35 hours. Which didn't stop me replaying it loads though. Happy Days.

well I think i've played all the game gear games (xcept maybe tails adventure cant remember)
-i dunno why but I still love sonic 1 on game gear alot more then the rest. It had that cool air ship level.
but the triple trouble game had some cool bosses and some cool special stages (the one on top of the tornado was pretty cool)

lol, my first console was a Spectrum! JET SET WILLY!! now, they defiantely don't make them like they used to...
I have a master system, but only played Sonic Chaos once or twice (rented it, not bought). The later levels and special staged introduced me to the words f*** and B****r, and the controller to my floor! ;D

Jet Set Willy is quite possibly the hardest game ever! But it still rules.
I have a SMS, with Sonic 1, 2 and Chaos. Not sure if there were any other SMS Sonics...

Jet Set Willy is quite possibly the hardest game ever! But it still rules. hardest?? it was physically, mentally and technically impossible to complete, due to a bug.... which means theres onle less item than you need to collect.

Weren't ten items invisible as well? Me and a friend played that for about 2 consecutive days way back when. We mapped out the entire mansion. But still never beat it.

hundreds of hours poured into that allowed me to beat SF3 in a cool 35 hours. 35?! How...how...how...how?? I've played it through about six times and I don't think I ever got under about 50 hours...mind you, I do spend a lot of time getting all the secret characters and most of the special weapons. Noon and Ratchet rock and Dantares' Death Charge is verily the dictionary definition of "awesumnal". ANYway. *hauls topic back on track*
