Well in our all out attack on ecdina kind, we forgot about Tails and his good ol' friends back home. I believe he fougth trogg and goblins and meet a certain female fox named morgrin... and her brother. The last part of this I remember reading was the fox elders trying to organise piece with the goblins.... Any opinions on this and can we expect to see tails return in future STC? it sure would be fun...

I sure do hope Moraine(sp?) and her brother (Errol?) return... Moraine was one of my favourite characters, and I liked the plot for the story I read with her in.

I definitely would like to see more Tails-based stories, but not as much as I'd love to see some Chaotix ones... Or... Ashura ones!

Ed was originally assigned to the Tails strip on this comic based on the strength of his one and only STC fanfic, which was set in the Nameless Zone.
I would be astonished if he weren't to write a mega-epic of it at some point.

I didn't say it was a done deal. I have no idea. I just wouldn't be surprised as it would really fit with his sensibilities; that's all.

Read my previous message (huzzah) Still accurate Oh, and if that fits in with his sensibilities, then he is indeed a sensible person. --Ray

I can still remember that latest 'Nameless Zone' story. Yes, they were discussing peace. But something just told me that King Roubal was lying about that promise/agreement... Too bad Nigel could never got the chance to show how that story concludes

By Nigel, do you mean Nigel Kitching?
*is debating whether or not to ask him about that... When he's not busy, that is...*
--Ray
EDIT: No, on retrospect, it's probably best not to bother him.

Yeah, I'm talking about Nigel Kitching. Nigel Dobbyn was an artist, not a writer (although Nigel K also did art for a few stories, but they were more suited to the Decap Attack stories, rather then the Sonic stories).

Goodness, yeah, I've been dying to do a Tails Nameless Zone story for years. I would probably have pitched that before "Just Like Old Crimes" too, except for a few reasons. One was that we wanted to test the water with two or three issues to see how long it would take to put it all together. (As it turned out, three years!).
Vector: Yes, there's a 3-parter coming, hopefully, in the second half of this year. I'm actually really proud of it. It should cause quite a stir.
Ray: Do ask Nigel. I think he explained this kind of stuff once but I'd be interested to hear his response (particularly since I suspect it was before the list moved to Yahoo, and so there aren't archives covering it). He's always been very receptive when people are interested in his work. At worst, I imagine, you'll catch him when he's busy and will forget to get back to you.
Andy: I think one of the things I liked about Nigel's set-up was how ambiguous Roubal was. He looks shifty because we naturally sympathise with Errol and Morain but we don't really know the facts of the situation. Is peace at a cost better or worse than independence in jeopardy? The same sort of thinking is behind the European Union.

Then indeed I will ask him. When I get an answer I'll post a topic in the STC section of the board, unless someone else does one first. I can't wait to see your Nameless Zone story, Ed, and the sooner, the better... Although a Chaotix story wouldn't go amiss either! --Ray EDIT: I've posted the question. EDIT II: Here it is: groups.yahoo.com/group/sonicthecomic/message/13609

Nigel said the inspiration for that story was the McDonalds he saw on holiday in Majorca(?). Stuck out like a sore thumb.

can anyone get me a pic of that female fox? Could scan an issue in if you'd like.... Anyway I loved the Fox kingdom. And the Trogg thing was great. "I say, steady on Trogg old man" That made me laugh far too much to not be disconcerting.
