You end up losing them all on Green Hills anyway, though, so it's only fair.

Green Hills is easy, compared to that sodding underwater bit.

I lose maybe a couple. Then I memorise it.
Aqua Lake is, again, memorisation.

It all is. The reason why it doesn't really work as a platformer genre.

It's really only Green Hills that is challenging though.
Oh, and the last parts of Scrambled Egg!

Aqua Lake required no memorisation for me at all.

It's all a matter of doing that skippy thing across the top of the water. Never did understand that.

It's all a matter of doing that skippy thing across the top of the water. Never did understand that. It's easy. You wither roll or jump onto the top of the water while holding right. There's not even a tricky technique or anything; that's all you have to do.

I can't see anything unusual in that clip.
Also, if you watch the demos of Sonic 2 when you get to Aquatic Ruin one you can see the swinging platform fly off and become a raft. I think.

Holy crap, neither did I. I'd been past the bit with the 4 moving blocks, but not the shortcut afterwards. The Moar You Know...

I only just discovered that shortcut in Chemical Plant Zone Act 2 that lets you skip all the Mega Mack. Mind = blown Edit: WHAT THE [censored]Thats the route Id take anyway.... I hated the bleddy Megamack route. (and that Aquatic Ruins floaty raft type thingy! ^__^ I think its also on the debug mode...) Also, if anyone was that stuck, how come none of you had come across that insanely detailed guide on Sonic 2 that some dude from SOA wrote? I had that after I completed it but I wanted it for the Special Stage guide... :S

Do you mean the Solid Gold Guide thing? I have that... I just never read it, because I can beat Sonic 2 with my eyes closed and my arms off.

Incredible. Proof that Sonic 2 truly is the greatest Sonic game ever.

In Sonic CD, if you use the debug mode to go ahead of Metal Sonic in the race, he'll catch up to you at lightning speed when you turn back into Sonic no matter how far ahead you are.
