Seems like there's enough chatter about films, television and other entertainment to spawn its own zone. Why is it in the Groovy Train and not one of the main boards? Well, for one thing it isn't strictly germaine to the forum's topic (STC) but also, if there's going to be discussions about 18-rated films or what have you, it's probably better that it's accessible to people who have made 50 posts, and who I'm assuming are going to be generally more mature. I think it's also fair enough to break the swear filter rules here if you want to quote directly from a film or programme for a specific reason.
Also, remember to use the spoiler font if you're going to talk about the endings of movies people probably haven't seen yet.
Oh, and if anyone has an idea for a title for this zone that doesn't sound like a Microsoft website, please shout out. I've been racking my brains but Media Zone (tm madhair) is the best I've got.
Cheers all.

"Sound and Vision Zone"? Meh, that sucks. The simple ideas are usually the best, so "Media Zone" is fine by me.

Eldorado Zone! Classic! Not sure it should be permanent, but it made me laugh. I remember Eldorado. Didn't watch it, of course, but they seemed to show ads for it a ridiculous amount, and I was surprised when they took it out back to kill it.

Of course, inevitably this will end up becoming the Neighbours Zone. Or the Gargoyles Zone, depending on what tickles your fancy on that particular day.

Not the Neighbours Zone, plllleeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaasssseeeee!! Neighbours is the second worst TV program ever to go out on British TV (only worse thing I've actually seen and can remember is Home & Away).

Neighbours is the second worst TV program ever to go out on British TV (only worse thing I've actually seen and can remember is Home & Away). Like all soaps, it has its ups and downs, but I have to say, in the last year there are times that I can not only say "Neighbours was excellent today"... but I can do it without the implicit follow-up "...for a soap." Of course, mediocre actors milking melodrama on a shoestring isn't everyone's thing (but it seems to suit most reality television programs), but right now when it's *really* on form (about 20% of the time at present), Neighbours is far enough ahead of a lot of film and televison that there should be a lot of very embarassed producers, writers and actors out there.

Sooner or later there won't be any use for the General Zone. Errr....Fabian Vane Zone? Sonicwood Zone?

Plus it was referenced in STC. Issue 2 I think. "One of them I can handle, but two!? I'd rather watch Eldorado!" Or something like that.

Heheheheheh. This isn't El Dorado, it's Eldorado, a legendarily bad British soap opera set in Spain that STC referenced a couple of times. They spent a ton of money on it and have only ever shown it once, around 1993ish, because it was so mind-bogglingly awful. Needless to say, I really wanna see an episode.
