Read about this today, and I'm not particularly impressed. I'm not against minor adaptation for a changing audience, but this is taking it too far. I'd rather them create entirely new characters Heres a link: news.toonzone.net/article.php?ID=1767I know they've changed the names but they are too similar for my liking. Still only time will tell how this turns out

Well, here is the trailer for your viewing pleasure.
Personally, I don't mind that they are trying to create a new cartoon with a different art style. But don't really like the idea of giving classic character extream makeovers and even new names. It feels too much like they are trying to please two audiunces at once. But what do I know...it might work.

New ideas = good. New ideas bolted onto old characters in cynical attempt to drum up publicity = bad.
About 95% of these "re-imaginings" go horribly wrong. Chance of this bucking the trend? Minimal.

Yeah, but I liked Tekkaman blade more than the original, so there is a slight chance that it works. Besides who says is a remake? maybe is just a copy, Hanna Banbera was the one who did all the Scooby Doo rips off, and they where the ones doing Scooby Doo!. And one of those rips off "Josie and the pussy cats" it even became popular!.

I read about this, and personally, I'm not too thrilled, but I will be holding my judgement until I've actually seen the trailer *pokes at it to download faster, plz*
*watches the trailer*
Okay. Erm, yeah. I'll wait and see if it hits here, but I'm not fond of it already. I think it'd be cooler if I knew that they weren't Looney Tunes characters.

I think it looks wicked animation wise, about Bugs and co turning into superheroes....nah, nicht so gut! Theyre classic cartoon characters, not heroes and there are so many "hero" cartoons around at the mo, older more silly cartoons such as Bugs are refreshing. Turning them into the latest fad seems a bit lame to me....then again maybe thats the point. Who would expect Bugs Bunny to kick some ass?!

Looks interesting.... *has just seen the trailer* But I don't think it'll catch on, since EVERYONE loves the original Looney Tunes. *nod nod*

I don't like this. Looney Tunes is awesome. It's absolutely fine the way it is. I'll be surprised if this doesn't suck.

I'll be surprised if this doesn't suck. Ditto, this whole "let's modernise everything because it's the 21st century" thing pisses me off big time. I mean, 'Loonatics'? Should have called him "thugs bunny", that would be a good one!

Couldn't get the trailer to work, but I think it's a terrible idea. For Warner Brothers to completely remodel some of the most famous and classic characters of our hsitory and culture is the most shameless low the could have lowered themselves to. It's one thing to subtly redesign characters over time, let's face it, Bugs and Daffy as we all recognise them are a far cry away from how they looked when they was first created, as are the majority of Disney's classic characters, but to competely redesign them from scratch is just a travesty.

Is it just me, or was the only "fresh look" good when it was done on Sonic and co.?

Is it just me, or was the only "fresh look" good when it was done on Sonic and co.? Well yes and no, Im reading a Sonic comic that has Sonic 1 style in a โCuteโ way and I love it. Those animals Sonic rescued never looked so cute^^. I want one so my dog can eat it!. And I have heard complains about the look of the characters in Sonic heroes....

I voted for the last one.
I actually thought the trailer was pretty cool. Unfortunately, they'll probably mess it up somehow.
The animation looks like it was done in Flash.

Is it just me, or was the only "fresh look" good when it was done on Sonic and co.? Actually, the "Sonic Adventure" styles of the Sonic characters, in my opinion, SUCK. If and when I draw Sonic characters, I only draw them in the old style. I just think that the new style is too desperate, in my opinion. But then again, it is only an opinion, lol.

I think it looks pretty interesting. There's no need to get all picky about this, at least until AFTER it's a failure. I mean, Tiny Toon Adventures was kind of an alternate redesign of the popular characters, and that did fairly well.

But also bear in mind that Tiny Toon Adventures didn't actually try to be the original characters. They were completely separate characters. But yes, we'll wait until the first episode, then continue with our loathing XD
