We all have our favourite films, but they dont always have our favourite moments. e.g. one of my favourite film moments is on terminator 1 when he says the imortal line... "I'll be back" because you just know whats going to happen next! But thats not my favourtie film.
So what bits in films make you laugh or what bits in films do you find magical.
One of mine is on Christmas Vacation when he goes and hides the presents in the attic, only to then get locked in it. Then for some reason I love the scene where he's sat in his pjs with all the old fur clothing on and watching his old xmas videos from when he was a kid.
Dont know why I just love that scene.

My all time fave scene is towards the end of BladeRunner where Roy had Deckard by the wrist, hanging off the edge of a tall building. You think hes going to throw him when he says "time to die" but he actually saves him! "More human than human" as Tyrell put it...then the poor bugger dies himself coz his 4 year lifespan runs out. Brilliant end to a film...btw what Ive typed may be a big schpoiler to sci fi enthusiasts who havent seen it yet....but if you are a sci fi fan and havent seen BladeRunner...SHAME ON YOU!!

lol dont worry I have a feeling its a common knowledge risk mambo, a topic about film scenes could have spoilers! ;D
thats a great scene in blade runner, so good in fact we had to study it in film studies!
Another great one of mine is the dinner scene in Alien...
Need I say anymore?
"Hey whats wrong? you alright?"
"Cough... Cough... ugh! NEEE AAAAAAGGGGGHHH!"
*mini killer space alien then runs over and ruins the nice pancakes*

Well seeing as you mentioned Alien, I think I'll have to mention its sequel, Aliens, which also features a scene which many may feel is a favourite;
RIPLEY: Get away from her you [female dog]!
Followed by robotic noises and alien snarling. Top stuff.
EDIT - The swear filter kind of ruined the moment there.

No contest - the assassination/Christening finale of The Godfather. The direction, the eerie music, Michael denouncing the works of Satan whilst his henchman brutally murder his rivals... just awesome.

Has to be the ending of the film 'The One', where Gabe ended up in the penal colony. Everything, the music, the dialouge was perfect, and I loved how in the end he was just fighting the prisoners endlessly.
Youlaw: 'I am Youlaw! Nobody's [censored]! You, are mine!
'I don't need to know you. All you need to know is me. I will be the ONE!'
Followed by intense heavy metal music, and martial arts ass-kicking. Perfect!

I don't really have favourite scenes (that I can remember).
Actually tell a lie I do! You may think I'm a bit weird for this, but I love the black guys death scene on T2. He's dying slowly, and he has a huge bomb in his hand that will explode when it touches the floor.
And it's kind of sad to watch but you do see him dying, and he's breathing heavily and hard, then he just stops. Then it goes to the outside of the house and you see it blowing up.

I didn't. I didn't like T3, the main thing I didn't like was the actor that played John Connors. He sucked to be honest.
And I don't know why they killed off his mother. She was a key figure in the first 2.
I thought the ending was OK. I heard a rumour a few months back about a T4, but I don't want it to happen. They should leave it alone now.

Sarah Connor was killed off because Linda Hamilton didn't like the script. Simple as. Apparently T4 is being made, but they've gotten rid of the T3 cast (including Arnie) and are starting a fresh. There are rumours that it won't even be called "Terminator", which would be the best option IMO since it's the start of a whole new story.

I didnt like T3 coz it was obviously part of Arnies campaign for Governor! I also preferred the ending of T2 in that the future was still uncertain. I jst preferred it that way.

My fave film scenes.
The One - Yulaw vs the police in the first scene, the unique use of uncliched bullet time was ASTOUNDING the first time I saw it.
Herby - The final race in it, sheer classic. (anyone remember this?)
Any CG scene from Revolutions - Not the best film, but to an animator OMG!
The Polar Express - The final scene in the North Pole....aww....
Return of the King - The Charge of the Rohirrm, sheer EXCELLENCE, the atmosphere, setting, massive music and sheer adreniline of the charge coupled with the ONLY cavalry charge in filming history to have that OOMPH of impact on it.
*OOMPH*
Sorry...I walked into a pipe..*

ah how could I forget this one...
Shrek 2: The stroning of the castle, mainly because of all the other film references and because the graphics were awsome (the burining gumdrop button) and the scene is just so well done.

Inherit the Wind - Perhaps my single most favourite film, Inherit the Wind was made in 1960 and is a loose dramatisation of the infamous 1920s 'Monkey Trial' over the issue of teaching evolutionary theory in schools. Whilst its historical accuracy is negligible (the script even changes the names of all of the participants!), the film possesses some superlative acting and the finale - the favourite scene that I'm highlighting - is quiet and minimalistic, but has a soothing effect after all of the sound and fury of the cacophonous trial and includes a little piece of symbolism, too. Alone in the courtroom, Henry Drummond, who has defended the pro-evolutionist, picks up a Bible on one hand, and a copy of Darwin's Origin of Species on the other. He pauses for a moment, as if weighing each one up, and then as he turns out of the chamber he places one on top of the other and tucks both underneath his arm. Science and Religion shouldn't battle over doctrinal supremacy - they're both compatible and should work together for better understanding of the world. The next two films I'm going to quote are heavily dependent upon plot, so I can't really define them in as much detail as I did for the previous one. But they're absolutely excellent - go and watch them! Cypher - The section with the helicopter at the very end. This section barely lasts a minute, but the expert cinematography Vincenzo Natali infuses it with is stunning, pulse-pounding and stupendous. It is only enhanced by the perfectly apposite incidental music. Cube 2: Hypercube - many deride Hypercube as a piece of hokum and inferior to the original Kafkaesque madness that characterised the original Cube, but I personally find this film evocative, thought-provoking, layered, compelling and well-directed. I have to stress that this is a film that needs to be watched in full - you can't leave it over a couple of days, because threads, hints, suggestions, allusions and suspicions run and twist around each other continually until they meet in the final five minutes - and what a tangled web they form! The final few minutes in this film may be the most stunning denouement I have witnessed in cinema - it answers questions whilst simultaeneously provoking more, and adopts a cold, withdrawn atmosphere that realises an unsettled, disturbed, and harrowed feeling in your heart and mind. As the screen fades to black, it leaves you with one, cruel, callous, message - which I'll leave you to work out for yourselves.
