This is not really a back issues-related question. Rather, I would like to know if there's anywhere I could see some examples of Richard Elson's (awesome) reprint-issues covers. If anyone knows the best method for this, I'd be pleased to find out.

Just flipping through the list on Comical Games and encountered the Specials: who published the like of the Sonic the Hedgehog Yearbook (1991)? It looks like Richard Elson's art on the cover, but very VERY awkward-looking. D: Still spazzing over the fact that someone has sent me scans of all the STC Eternal Champions stories via AIM: ditto the Special. Well, the archive's been down for yonks now...

You're in luck over the archive, they just hosted the files from a different site! ;D You'll need to register an account to download any of the comics though. If you don't already have one, you'll need a program to open the .cbr files, something like CDisplay.. Happy reading! Update 1/10/10: The website hosting CDisplay appears to have gone. Here's an internet wayback link complete with download! Link!

If you're using a Mac, I'd recommend Jomic. CDisplay doesn't want to know Macs for some reason.

I use Comical on my Mac. It's not great though.

Actually, I might start collecting STCs again. I ended up getting my rather huge pile of them thrown out by the time the thing stopped being published, so I could start again, there's probably people selling masses of them on ebay

To Stu-bot, who helped me out on another thread (http://sonicthecomic.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=general&action=display&thread=10264) before Mambo locked it and sent me here, no I don't need anything else, thanks. However, somehow I managed to find my old copy of the 1995 Holiday Special, and there was one story in it that you didn't mention: "The Green Eater", from STC#15. Just thought I'd mention it.

Sonic clone? I'm not sure which one you're referring to, there were several, right?
Do you mean the one with the elderly Sonic, where they cocked up the printing?

Either that or the Evil Sonic from the extra life monitor.

I remember that "Evil Sonic" story vividly. That's a really old one though; back in the teens, I think.

Any chance someone can update the first post of the thread? Some of the links are dead.
Edit: and maybe include links to Jomic, Comical, CDisplay and/or 7-Zip, just for viewing convinience?

Done that, although I've never heard of 7-Zip...
Also, I've made point that if people want to buy from ComicalGames, then head to his site, and not to contact me (which has happened in the past).

Yeah. I mean, if they want to send me money for my STC's that's fine, but they'll get the ones that are missing covers.
