Musically, I like most things but tend to like more instrumental music. Lyrically, I think I prefer music in French instead of English, just because I don't think I can usually fully appreciate lyrics in English because I don't always fully understand them (especially if the lyrics are sung with a strong accent).
Recently I've been listening to Sebastien Tellier a lot (as he's representing France in Eurovision) also Christophe Willem, he has quite a high-pitch voice which is sort of feminine, but the content of his lyrics is usually quite interesting.

Currently digging Guillemots and The Clash. Oh, and Laura Marling. Q compared her to Kate Nash, which is downright cruel. Laura Marling sings about mental illness and does not make me want to spork out my eardrums. On the subject of whoring one's music, here is my MySpace music page.
Yes, Sebastien Teller is excellent.
Actually, through my recent love for dance, I've been listening to a lot of french stuff. They do it best.
Been listening to my fave albums of the year so far. Earth's "The Bees Made Honey In The Lion's Skull" Psychadelic guitar nonsense. Very mellow, relaxing, and awesome. Song is called Engine of Ruin www.youtube.com/watch?v=cxblsOjBdkc
Ascension of The Watchers' "Numinosum" Side project from Burton C Bell of Fear Factory. Industrial/gothic/accoustic/electronic blah blah blah. Dead [censored]ing good.
There aren't any decent enough examples on youtube.
