While browsing on Amazon, I came across a CD dedicated to the Silent Hill games. It only has 5 tracks on it, but it was only 6 quid. I might go ahead and buy it. We need more Silent Hill inspired bands, Rude Form, the originally named Pyramid Head, and Axis of Perdition are all that I can think of.

The new Bloc Party is actually rather good indeed and wipes the floor with 'A Weekend In A City', parts of which I thought were lyrically embarrassing[/i. How dance is that new album? Most of their new singles seem rave/dance influenced and I was wondering if that continued to the rest of the album.

Lagwagon came out with a new EP this week if anyone is interested in them. Oddly enough I hadn't thought about the band in several years until the song "Train" popped into my head on the transit earlier. I decided to see what they'd been up to in the last 10 years and sure enough they released their second set of songs in over 10 years just a few days ago.
Strange how that all worked out. The EP "I Think My Older Brother Used To Listen To Lagwagon" is quite appropriate.
Also, the Stills released a new cd on Tuesday as well. It's quite good.

Ah, Lagwagon. I vaguely remember them. Got back from Reading last night, and drunkeness plus work plus staying up for hours has made me so knackered that I fell asleep at 5ish last night and when I woke up, it was Tuesday. Bands what I did saw: - Friday: Future Of The Left, Pete and the Pirates, Blood Red Shoes, Be Your Own Pet, Duke Spirit, Serj Tankian, Ida Maria, Biffy Clyro, Queens Of The Stone Age, RAGE AGAINST THE MOTHER[censored]ING MACHINE!!!111 - Saturday: British Sea Power, Brendon Burns, Fight Like Apes, the Subways, Mystery Jets, the Ting Tings, Seasick Steve, Foals, Justice, Bullet For My Valen-whine, the Manics - Sunday: Henry Rollins, Dropkick Murphys, MSI, Feeder, Tenacious D, Metallica
My highlights? RATM, Henry Rollins, Fight Like Apes, Duke Spirit, Tenacious D, and of course, the Manics. It would have been nice to see Slipknot, as they pulled out, but at least they're going to be on tour. With Machine Head, noch.

I'm pretty sure that a lot of Photoshopping goes on with the Ting Tings...

She reminds me of Kerry Katona!
'Shut Up And Let Me Go' makes me want to hurt things.

I heard some weird version of Shenandoah while at the dentist. It made the whole experience more enjoyable.

I listen to near enough anything and everything, there'll be at least one artiste of most genres I enjoy.
That being said I can't stand R&B, which has got to be the musical equivalent of watching a slug scale your wheelie bin.

Not familiar with that particular subgenre but I do listen to a lot of electronic music; IDM, trance, drum n bass, EBM, house, rave, nu rave, industrial, electronic rock, industrial rock/metal, digital hardcore, gabba, speedcore, etc. If you could name me some groups I'll let ya know if I've heard them and what I think.

They're not - they've been termed as industrial, 'tis all. Their site proclaims: 'we produce exquisite and extraordinary works of music and art whose comprehension will violently challenge to the fragile core of a naked soul'.

Ah right haha. Still, they sound worth a listen. Any band that can come up with something that pretentious have gotta have some creative talent behind them lol.

The thing about power electronics that bugs me the most is that it sounds like it's in a constant state of waiting for the beat to drop. So much anticipation and no release.
Merzbow in particular is absolute [censored].
Then again, it's good for something to immerse yourself in once in a while, as is drone.
In other news, I'm remixing Digital Love. not that anyone cares

*Glitch
Also, Autechre aren't that unknown/lesser known, really. =P
Sin, four words: Black Moth Super Rainbow.
Alternatively, Dntel if you haven't listened to him yet(it's one half of The Postal Service doing a solo act, predating The Postal Service. You'd like it.), and Figurine(What came before Dntel) and Ladytron, also Alice in Videoland, I Am The World Trade Center, Freezepop, Bobby Baby, The LK, Action Biker, Crystal Castles, Robots in Disguise and Simian Mobile Disco.

I've just bought a CD off the Internet: Guilty Gear XX: The Midnight Carnival. I'm about to put on disc 1 to try it out. I'll soon tell what it's like.
