What more can I say? I saw the live feed from nintendo's E3 conference and a return to Ocarina of Time style is about to happen, seeing as that was my favourite ever game I'm pretty excited about this!! (I love wind waker too, but this....)

Whoa...
Those graphics look awsome. And by the pics, It looks like the N64 Link makes a return! (If you're a hardcore Zelda fan, then you know that are 4 different Links & Zeldas in the timeline (In timeline order) The first and original ones apperead on the N64. The second ones appeared on the NES. Third ones were on the SNES and GBC games. The fourth and new ones, just in wind waker. Ganondorf, though, is the same one the whole way through).
I think its cool to see the N64 Link to return. Though I wouldn't mind to see the Wind Waker Link again in a sequel. Maybe next time.
Its obivious why Ninty are bringing the N64 Link back, as he's the coolest. But do you know what the plot is? I doubt Ganon is in it (which would be a shame).

Must admit, I prefer the cartoon style. Still looks great though.

Hmmm, reading stuff on gamespot.com, they seem to think there's a wind waker 2 as well as this new one, plus a brand new gba zelda was also shown....

My fave Zelda is still Link's Awakening. That game owns.

Wow....
I'm a big fan of WW's style, but...those screens...
Funny, though, because I'm sure I remember Miyamoto-san confirming that they'd use the WW engine again. *shrugs*

Have to say I prefer the cell shading graphics more. Found WW more playible than the ocarina of time or the wind fish one for the GB (completed it, woot!)

Those pictures are great! Of course, personally I don't care as long as the story is good. (And as long as Link don't have 56 or so ways to scream...)

Apparently they are still using the windwaker engine for all the physics and construction of the gameplay, they've just given the graphical style an overhaul.
Thats why when you see the on foot combat in the video it looks the same as WW's movement style.

Well, its better having him not talk than the horrible voice he had in the old cartoon. That was [expletive].

By the way, if anyone wants to check this video out, you can find it at www.nintendo.com - there's links from there. Miyamoto and Aonuma say that all the footage is game engine, no cg!

You know, Miyamoto said the reason why Link doesn't talk is because he wants players to put their own personality into him. That's partially why there are are a few RPG elements in the game as well.

Well, its better having him not talk than the horrible voice he had in the old cartoon. That was [expletive]. That bad? I never saw those cartoons; my brother would have a fit when it wasn't Mario, so I couldn't hear. *blasts the idiotic 'too many connections' sign to pieces and goes into a destroying frenzy. Where the Zelda and Sonic games miraculously survive*

*blasts the idiotic 'too many connections' sign to pieces and goes into a destroying frenzy. Where the Zelda and Sonic games miraculously survive* I'll help. ;D Only Quicktime? Grumble. QT doesn't like to work on my crusty old laptop. I guess I'll have to go into uni tomorrow and watch it on a library computer. Which means no sound. Grumble grumble.

I'll miss the cell-shaded effect. I thought they should have kept that for at least one more game.

I see this game as re-creating the hype that surrounded Ocarina of Time, I'm hoping the massive zelda web community that sprang up due to that game will once again arise due to newly sparked interest.
And as cool as I thought the cel-shading was once I got over the shock I can't express how happy I am to see it back in its realistic style. Maybe they could swap between the two styles as both have their benefits.
