Oh, and decent movie tie-ins: Goldeneye 007, Aliens vs Predator, Aliens Resurrection, Chronicles Of Rid[censored], Spider-man, Hulk, the aforementioned Star Wars games, EA's Lord of the Rings slash-fests, the old 2D Disney games, The Thing, Rocky, Starsky and Hutch. Hulk was bum, and I thought Spider-Man was average, but on the whole, these are wickard. ('specially Goldeneye!) Personally I'm a little shocked so far, Luigi's Mansion is an 8 out of 10 in my book, certainly the best of the list so far IMO.... buy it! I preffered it to Mario Sunshine in fact, I just found it more entertaining. (has fingers crossed for a Zelda game in the list...)

Andy, if Phantom Menace is your "Ideal Game", why isn't it at number one?
And secondly, howyou can give a game 2/10 for gameplay and still place it in your top list is beyond me. 2/10 is a terrible score. It makes it sound like the most boring game in the world.

Hulk was bum, and I thought Spider-Man was average, I was referring more to the first Spider-man game on PSone, rather than the average movie tie-in. The PSone game was a bit of a classic!

MadHair: Deal with me. I'm werid like that. #17: Sonic R(at last, a sonic game on the list. I bet that is what you're all thinking) The "R" either stands for Racing or Racers. But that doesn't matter. This is a v. good racing game that deserves a bronze medal. And its a great idea too, I mean, Sonic and his pals are fast little critters. So why not make a racing game of them? Anyway, the game features beutiful courses and good detail on characters (in thier days anyway). The shortcuts can be a great help as well. And its quite tricky to unlock the "Metal Characters" (but the Tails thing was just a doll, I know). The contols bug me though, it becomes a pain just to hold onto one button just to move after a while. And the D-Pad feels awarkward when trying to move. At least the L & R triggers help a bit. Graphics - 8 Nice detail. And Super Sonic looks cool. Gameplay - 9 Racing in this game is near flawless, though expert diffulculty takes away the fun by a bit. Sound - 8 Great songs, you'll hum them in your sleep. Mastery - 6 Moving with the D-Pad is tough. But it helps when you use the L & R triggers. Lifespan - 8 You'll be addicted to this. And you'll want to get the Chaos Emeralds. If you're up for a challenge, try to unlock the Metal Characters (Metal Sonic, Tails Doll, Metal Knuckles & EggRobo). Overall - 8/10 A very addictive racing game. You'll be hooked. Yet yuo might give up at unlocking the Metal Characters as its quite tough.

Shadic: Be pateint!
#16: Sonic Adventure 2 Sonic's 3rd game on the Dreamcast (there was Sonic Shuffle in between) was great. It introduced Shadow as a kind of alter-ego to counter Mario's Wario. The graphics are great, but the eyes on characters look like they were glued on to the faces. The gameplay depends on who you're playing as. As Sonic and Shadow, it comes close to the old MegaDrive games. As Tails and Eggman, you go round in their machines shooting enimies. As Knuckles and Rouge, you have to hunt 3 things depending on the mission (Master Emerald pieces, Keys, Chaos Emeralds).
The contorls aren't slow responding and the actions feel like they are assignged to the right buttons. The camera is dodgy though. It switch's angles when you don't want it to or worse, it changes at the most critical time you need to survive. Its really annoying and it was a proplem in the prequel as well.
Music is great though, some tunes are catchy and most of the Theme Songs, escpically "Live and Learn", are cool. As from the last game, you need to collect "Emblems" to do a "100% Completion" of the game. You don't actually need to collect all the emblems, but the reward for doing so is very satisfying, espically because its very hard to.
Graphics - 8 Great textures, but the eyes look fake and they kind of wobble when moving.
Gameplay - 8 The levels are very fun, yet they could have made them so much better.
Sound - 9 Nice tunes. But "Live and Learn" is an awesome song.
Mastery - 8 Controls feel like the way they should be, but its hard to monuever with that annoying camera.
Lifespan - 8 More if you're insanely persistent on unlocking the 3D Green Hill Zone stage. Less if you just give up.
Overall - 8/10 A good Sonic game, but it would have been better if it weren't for that dumb camera.

I still haven't played SA2 extensively, nor listened to 'Live and Learn'. Is it better than 'This Machine' from Heroes?

#15: Pikmin If there's one thing I've learned its don't think a game's crap because it looks cutesy. This game is addictive as hell. The grphics are incredibly detailed, and it plays very similar to the Wind Waker. Its a massive world that goes from day to night to day. And you have a feeling of a deep sense of exploration that you get in WW. The controls are flawless, but it doesn't go in my Top Ten because of two things: Its too short and Too Easy. Other then that, this is fantastic and woth buying. You can get for as lttle as £20.00 now.
Graphics - 10 Sweet, lucsh and crisp. Detailed right down to the last soil grain.
Gameplay - 10 A real deep sense of exploration here, you won't be disappointed
Sound - 9 Nice lttle tunes but the sqeaking Pikmin kinda gets on my nerves.
Mastery - 9 Flawless, but its too easy.
Lifespan - 9 You'll play this for a few days, mainly because it will last that long. Needs to be longer.
Overall - 9/10 This is like the WW only with overgrown bugs. And I mean that in a good way.

*sigh* Sorry people, but I'm afraid I'm just gonna have to get to my Top 10. I'm just growing a little impatient, and I have quite a lot of important stuff to do, so with out any further delay...
#10: Star Wars: Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast (PC Version) The sequel to Jedi Knight did not disappoint, this terrific game had almost everything someone could want from a Star Wars game. Lightsaber, weapons of death, force powers, the list is endless. And there's a wide vareity of cheats as well, I mean, a REALLY wide range of cheats. Not just the standered cheats like invinciblity and infinate ammo. But cheats like spawning allies or enimies, getting a secret rank 4 for Jedi Mind Trick (controlling enimies! ;D) and two new lightsaber fighting styles.
The graphics are great, but whenever characters move their mouths they look like they just came back from an appointment from a bad dentist. They don't show much emotion either. Gameplay is solid, running around with a lightsaber and pulling off some fancy acrobatics is fun. The controls are perfect, they respond instantly and they feel like they're in the right place. It also follows with classic Star Wars music and sounds. The sound the lightsaber makes will never get old.
Finally, how long it will last. Depends really. There's at least four diffulcity settings, so you might wanna try all four modes, just to test your skills and compare differences. But with so many cheats you could customise the game the way you want it to be. For example, "I want my lightsaber to be yellow, want a one or two enimies at those gates over there, and I'll have Luke Skywalker to help me", if you want that, the input will have to be:
sabercolor yellow npc spawn STCommander npc spawn ShadowTrooper npc spawn Luke
Anyway, if you're a fan of Star Wars or FPS games, then get this. You won't be disappointed.
Oh and, I'm not rating the games anymore, mainly because the following are 10/10 anyway.
