From what I heard, they're delaying it for the release of the PSP.
And yeah, that trailer is old. ;D

How could they go and release the spirits within at the cinema, and then not release a film with a guaranteed large fanbase.
I dont get it.
And yeah its a lush trailer but that girl who is probably tifa looks like shes wearing Rinoas clothes.

Your right that is Tifa. The movie seems to have taken a bit of influence from other Final Fantasy games (especially 8), stuff like Tifa's Rinoa style clothing and Yazoo's gunblade.
There is one thing and one thing alone that makes me very excited about this movie, Vincent Valentine. Recent studies have shown that he is the coolest game character in the universe and I can't wait to see what he is portrayed like in this.

Which translates to about 2015 for us. Ok so late 2005 if we're lucky

Any charcter that can change himself into a demonic beast deserves a round of applause.

He looks too much like Marilyn Manson for my liking. I hope they don't give him a pansy voice like they did in Kingdom Hearts (that guy from N*Sync voiced him!)

Take it you're looking forward to KH2? It's apparently got Auron from FFX and Vincent from FFVII in it. Oh, and Mickey Mouse.

vincent aint in it, I don't think. besides, cloud stole his claw and his clothes. he'd be naked and handless if he were in it. O.o I didn't really like KH, but i'm really looking forward to KH2. It looks amazing. On another note, I am NOT looking forward to FFXII. they did away with random battles. Why?! I just wish they would get rid of the voices ad go back to text speech. It allows them to actually use your character's name and we don't have to put up with garbage like "oh poopie"... They didn't even use tidus' name in X-2, which IMO, was stupid.

they also never had his name in ffx and why you ask?
well simply because you had the choice of naming him something else and it would be a bit stupid if the characters said "hey tidus" when you'd named him Gary

It's getting harder to look forward to every new FF game nowadays. First of all, the series may never be as good as FFVII/VIII, and secondly, it's becoming harder to find the time to play long games like that as I'm getting older. I just about managed to squeeze FFX-2 into my spare time this year, but by the time FFXII hits, I may have to give it a miss. We'll see. I hate life, it's so intrusive!

i completed X-2 in a week. fair enough, I didn't get 100%, but it was still a ridiculously short period of time for an FF game. Unfortuatley, i'm starting Uni this year, so I too will have little time for games... although my course is Computer Games Technology, so that kind of makes up for it.

Final Fantsy 7 is the greatest final Fantasy game of all time. I was ground breaking and just plain fun. I remember playing it for hours on end. I conquerd that game. It was also voted the best Final Fantasy ever on Tech Tv. Second place went to Final Fantasy 10. Another great game.
