But if you're an obsessive fan of anything, be it games, comics, music or whatever, pointless debates like this are your very lifeblood!!

Devil May Cry you just can't beat it's awsomeness, unloading hundreds of bullets into demon sporn before hacking them up with a giant sword ;D
Did anyone here try that on Hard or Very Hard modes, that was almost impossible. It was so hard to beat the bosses that I actually broke a PS2 controler.

Best game series ever is the Final Fantasy series - best game ever FF7. I did love FF5 and Crystal Chronicles though and must admit I'm becoming quite hooked on Skies of Arcadia even if it seems frigging impossible sometimes. Rob

It's probably the most stressful gaming experience I've ever had. I got to about mission 18 (the second battle against the Nightmare) before becoming hopelessly stuck. There's several parts in the game where you have to fight 2-3 Shadow cats at the same time. Hardest fight ever.

The thing I did like about Vice City was spotting the scenes taken from Scarface! ;D I like killing cops and gettin the helicopters after me! Or going further, getting the feds out so I can steal one of their rather nice black shiny cars! ;D

Well, you don't really have to do anything amoral to enjoy the game. It's all about freedom...the freedom to create chaos, or not. Although the former is a lot more fun.

So you can run around obeying the law? "Look at me! Im waiting for the light to change!" What I meant was, you can go sightseeing, exploring the hidden nooks of the city. There's racing missions, car-collecting missions, hidden packages, insane stunt bonuses, and loads of minigames and sidequests. So you admit you'd rather cause mayhem then obey the law? ;D

So you admit you'd rather cause mayhem then obey the law? ;D Of course.. since it's a game. But my friends are always talking about their millions of ways to kill people and stuff in gta3/vice city. It makes me think, are these really the things people want to do in a game? Do they reflect people's hidden disires or something?

You're thinking way too hard about it. Violence is heavily woven into our culture, but that doesn't make everyone who enjoys GTA or Tarantino movies a psycho. GTA is a masterpiece of style and substance married. Don't deny yourself it over moral niggles, unless it makes you feel physically sick. The ironic thing is that over all of the media frenzies caused by games in the past, having the freedom to carry out random acts of violence in a videogame is better for the human psyche as a tension relieving exercise and a way to cool off.

Cmon, with a mature sense of whats wrong and what isnt, the whole idea of GTA is that you do things that normally youd never do in every day life!! And its wonderfully entertaining! Dealing drugs under the guise of an icecream van is just hilarious! Charging through a town in a tank, letting police cars just drive into you and blow up! Its just a game, really. And of course theres the not-so illegal side of it, like delivering pizzas on a moped! Name another game that lets you do that!! GTA just makes me laugh, to be honest. Nothing sick or weird about that.

Funny you should mention that...I've been attempting Hard mode recently! It's probably the most stressful gaming experience I've ever had. I got to about mission 18 (the second battle against the Nightmare) before becoming hopelessly stuck. There's several parts in the game where you have to fight 2-3 Shadow cats at the same time. Hardest fight ever. I broke my controller on hard mode against the giant bird (forgot his name) when you fight him for the last time, it happened as I was hitting the fire button so hard and rappidly that the srping inside broke and now the square button no longer works, had to get a new one. You think the shadow cats are hard, in Dante must Die mode the enemies get a devil trigger which activates if you don't kill them in an insanely short time. In Dante Must Die mode I got up the second fight with Mundus, I had all the blue orbs, all the upgreads and all the health-ups and other stuff I could carry. When you fight him his health bar covers the screen and your most powerful attack does so little damage to him you can't see his bar moving down, not to mention he can kill you in just a couple of hits. Shame I never finished it as I was so close Anyone on this board ever manage to complete Dante Must Die mode for the origonal

Heh. I guess that shows how much I suck at DMC -- you must be excellent to get to Mundus on Dante Must Die! I honestly find normal mode to be a hefty challenge. Those Shadow cats own me.

Chrono Trigger, Final Fantasy VII, Seiken Densetsu 3, Shadow Warriors, Monkey Island 2, many, many more. For PC, I'd say Unreal Tournament or BF42. When you start playing online team based FPSs, a lot of games fall below your standard levels.
