SECOND SIIIIIIIIIIIIIGHT! It's out tomorrow. I saw the TV advert last night twice. On UK Gold, of all places. Inbetween episodes of Have I Got News For You, of all things. I'm rather excited about this game. ;D Also: Resi 4, Paper Mario 2, both Zeldas, possibly Mario Tennis, and that's about it at the moment.

It looks great, doesn't it? Have you played the demo. It's absolutely brilliant, but it only lets you play for about four minutes... I think Resi: Outbreak is out this month too, albeit the offline version.

But in a bizarre twist, an hour after writing that post I wandered down to my local indie games shop and found it on sale! They'd somehow wangled copies of it and the Cube version of Wario Ware a day early. Didn't buy it, though. Little money. But DID finally get a copy of Sonic Advance, for cheap too.

Okay, Second Sight is pure genius. The only real nag is I completed it in one day. The things you can do in this game are awesome...it's very very similar to the MGS series (nearly everything that Snake invented is in here), but you also get those incredible psychic powers. You can posess an enemy and start massive fights with other enemies. You can lift up a guy with telekinesis and shoot him in the nuts. You can collect ammo from the far side of the level with a button press, and scare the hell out of guys with floating objects. The physics engine alone is the equal of what Half-Life 2 is promising. My favourite levels by far are 'Teamwork' and 'Conspiracy'. The former is a tense mission set in the past, where you and your squad storm an enemy base. The feeling of cooperation with the AI and the sense of being part of a team is complimented by some excellent sniping battles (this game has the best sniper rifle ever invented). In the level 'Conspiracy', the lead character John walks into the headquarters of the NSA and takes on loads of government suits using his 'projection' ability that allows him to control enemies. I replayed this level today, expertly taking out every camera and manipulating all the men in black into death, but at the last minute got spotted by the cleaning lady, who raised the alarm! Overall, this is the best game I've played this year. It has excellent acting, drama and action alongside great humour and a brilliant twisting plot. I can't rave about it enough, and it would probably beat Metal Gear Solid if it didn't borrow so many elements from it. Buy it now, it's a perfect example of how gorgeous and brilliant modern games can be: 9/10.

Fable, MGS:Acid, Final Fantasy: Advent Children (Not a game, but much anticipated), Resi 4. Umm.... Final Fantasy XII I suppose, but only to see if I give up on Square completely. Ever since IX, theyve done naught but disappoint.

Today I got Burnout 3 for the PS2. I really recommend it for anyone with a PS2 or XBox. It is a racing game but has a real arcade feel to it, which really appealed to me. Unlike most racing games, the point of Burnout is not to dodge your rivals, it is to ram, shunt and crash them till you can either get past or wipe them out. The game encourages you to do this by giving you a speed boast every time you crash into a rival or drive dangerously (e.g. near missing traffic, doing drifts and driving into oncoming traffic).
So if you’re a fan of high adrenaline racing games then I recommend this, what other racing games can you say that you destroyed the opponents…………literally.

NO ONE HAS MENTIONED METABOTS INFINITY? id like to see some of this as I got the metabee version on the gba...it was pretty darn awesome, and I enjoyed it alot and I hope the GC version is gonna be ok... also theres custom robo. that game looks pretty cool too^^ starfox 2 is amazing. if you head for the NOA site www.nintendo.com and lookup starfox the screens themselves own all of the above.... thats GC owning for you^^ also nintendo games tend to be more playable... As jim said if you got an xbox youll be waiting for halo 2. I dont have one, and im mouthwating in anticipation. the climax on the first was kewl, and left me wanting more, and the movie playing in the game in watford looked awesome too. As for ps2 fans im sure that mgs3 should sort you all out... the thing that made me hate konami was that mgs 2 isnt on any other console but the ones I dont have... ill see if I can get the PC version as no 2 looked excellent. my m8 had it on ps2 until his house was robbed all his good games gone..but he bought better ones^^ you wanna be banned for using homophobia in your insults?
