Seriously - I have never loved a driving game before and Burnout 3 OWNED MY FACE. It's SO GOOD.
Absolute sensory overload. It will make you laugh your arse off.
For every user who does not buy this game, I will drown a sack of kittens.

*Chuckle* Stupid Gamecube fan boys... NOW you're sorry >D
This game just rocks so hard. I have never drooled so much in a driving game. The best bit? I drool EVEN MORE when I crash. Normally I bite the controller and scream in frustration when I crash. Now it's a hobby!

I got it and I love it. Crashing is not just a thing you do, it is a fine art that you must master. How can you not love a game that gives you awards to smashing up your rivals.

Loads of TV ads for this game on at the moment. I was watching E4 earlier and saw the same ad on about four times in an hour.

I watched someone play Burnout 2....does that count? "NO!" If I had any of the next-gen consoles, I'd buy B3 straight away. As fortune has it, newest console I have is Dreamcast.

Do you think you could wait on drowning the kittens until I get some money? Sure I could find some way to get it shipped if it's not in USA.

I have played Burnout 3 in a game store. I think it is so much better than the other two.
It is definately going to be my next Playstation 2 game.

For every user who does not buy this game, I will drown a sack of kittens. I only have a gamecube. Don't drown the kittens yet, I'll hang on to the slim chance they release it on the aforementioned platform. They probably won't, so then drown them. Then I'll come and kill you. No we're not, 'cause we're getting Prime 2 for Christmas. ;D And teh Paper Mario 2!

Bought it today. It's alright, but a few gripes kept me from digging this as much as the rest of the world seems to: 1. It's repetitive. Play one race, you've played them all. Crashing cars and powersliding round corners can only hold my attention for so long. I was expecting some kind of amazing depth in the full version that I wasn't aware of in the demo, but nope....that's it. Found it exciting and breakneck, but a little bit hollow. 2. The soundtrack. Annoying DJ who sounds suspiciously like the guy from SSX3, doing an in-game radio show, much like SSX3 (which was inspired by GTA, anyways). About 20 different college-rock bands are signed up to this game, about six of their names I recognised from SSX3. There's barely any variety in the music...it all sounds exactly the same. I'm usually okay with that sort of music.... in small doses, but any more and it gets on my nerves. Overall, this game has the most cliche soundtrack ever. 3. The way it's all been marketed towards 'the kids'. The music, the style of the menus, the DJ......Burnout 2 had a kind of anonymity, an indifference that said "Yes I am a brilliant game, and no I don't need any licensed bulls**t to prove that". I guess what I'm trying to say is....it's been EA'd up. Everything has been given a grossly American, brash identity which bugs me. This game was developed in Guildford! It's lost it's charm a little. Otherwise, it's great fun, a quick adrenaline rush, and a well-made racing game. Not my 'game of the year so far', but still very entertaining. I'm afraid I can't shake the feeling that the kittens have died in vain.

Jamie J, turn off Striker (Shudder) in the options menu.
The game has so much depth you wouldn't believe. keep at it, you should see what I mean.

Okay, I am in love with Crash Mode. I enjoy them so much more than the main game. The actual game is a lot more bearable now I've learned to turn the DJ off, and fade out the music when I get fed up of it, but I still find the races a little repetitive. Road Rage is excellent fun, too....but Crash mode is utter genius. The complexity, the planning, and the incredible skill it takes to engineer a pile-up of gold medal proportions is sometimes staggering. I did the first twenty crash levels yesterday, and wouldn't rest until I got a gold medal on each of them. Its addictive as Hell and mercilessly challenging. This is the game that does everything for you that Gran Turismo never did. It's growing on me. I'm actually finding it easier to drive in real life, too. That makes no sense.
