Well, yeh I have to go with NiGHTS on this one, Sonic 3D was the worst MD Sonic game! It was probs coz it wasnt a conventional Sonic game, as most before it had been of the same format. (exceptions being Spinball and Drift) It was aesthetically pleasing, mostly, I thought the special stages were awfully shoddy in fact, and I liked the idea of those cute little flickies following you around, and I guess it paved the way for todays Sonic 3D games. I certainly wasnt complaining when I was playing it but my faves will always be the classic 2D games! ;D Call me old school if you like! Nights, well...Ive been unfortunate enough to never play it, but I did see it on GamesMaster all those years ago and it looked beautiful!
oh and Im sure that ppl can be fans of BOTH Sonic and Mario! People are known to be fans of say, er...both Megadeth and Metallica, for instance!!
I'm quite surprised how many Sonic fans actually like or tollerate Marios fat existance, you're SONIC fans! You're supposed to want to KILL him! Mario games are so boring they could put a hyperactive robot with no sleeping function to sleep! The games are all the same, with the same music on every level, the same cleches used over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over, which drives me insane! Imagine if they did that to Sonic, it would be sickening!
Although I disagree with you.. That's how many anti-sonic pro-Mario gamers think.

I didn't think Sonic 3D was that bad...it was just unconventional, and a little bit sucky because previous game were so good. The PC version had great music, and the boss fights weren't bad either. The system of dragging flickies around was pretty cool, too.
