Beeth, when I saw that Barry Chuckle quote in your sig, I thought it said 'good ANAL plan'. As I said earlier, I'm loving the new look Kai and Sheeva. Also, I saw another of those select screen things that DIDN'T look photoshopped, can't remember where. Kitana looked terrifying in it.

Is it that "unmasked" pic with the huge teeth? I've seen that one before, and it would be rather good if it was available as a costume.
Oh, and lol at the Barry quote mistake! ;D It's actually from one of them out-take thingies at the end I saw once.

No, that's Mileena you're thinking of. If you've seen some of the pics of Kitana without her mask on, you'll know that she's a normal-looking woman. She just looks quite psychotic in this screenshot.

Who is that strange looking guy between Noob and Cyrax? I would guess Smoke but I am not 100% sure.

Yeah, it's him. Apparently he's been separated from N00b. As for who the guy between N00b and Ermac is, I haven't a clue. He's a Kreated Karakter or something.

They're missing the other Sub-Zero.
The maskless one.

That, to my knowledge, was merely another of his costumes. It was dropped after Deadly Alliance, dunno if they're bringing it back.
And the guy between Ermac and Noob is Chameleon. Go to its wiki and the character list is there.

No.. at one point there were two Sub-Zeros. The faceless one and the masked one. They were brothers.
I'm 95% sure!

I'm not entirely sure, but I think that one of the brothers was killed between MK2 and MK3, hence the arrival of his unmasked brother, though I could be wrong...

There are two Sub-Zeros, or rather there were. In the first Mortal Kombat (or perhaps the 2nd?), the elder Sub-Zero was killed by Scorpion and has been brought back as a psychopathic evil wraith called Noob Saibot.
Now the younger Sub-Zero has now taken the name, costume and abilities of his elder brother. The Sub-Zero in Deadly Alliance is the younger brother and usually the name Sub-Zero is always referencing the younger of the two brothers.
For some reason Sub-Zero has an obsession with honouring his elder brother, even though Noob is a bit of a heartless loony, even when he was still alive. Zero and Noob deserve a battle.
Both Sub-Zero and Noob are appearing in this game, so their is no other version of Sub-Zero which they are missing.

I hope Armageddon has an actual storyline to it, unlike Trilogy which was just MK3 with old bits randomly thrown in. Noob would have his story, he's building up an army of cyborg demons (those ninja-like guys from the early screenshots?), and Shao Kahn was brought back to life by Havik. I wonder what kind of stories the long lost characters like Stryker and Shinnok will have?

Dunno, but apparently Sektor's got a goodun. He started his own cyber-ninja clan, the Tekunin, around the Deadly Alliance era (although he was in MK Tournament Edition, not MKDA), and they seem to have become very powerful. In fact, one of the levels is their warship, and there's a bit where Sektor kidnaps Taven to get information on his dad, and then Sonya turns up with the Special Forces, which surprised me as I thought she was dead. Unless her story's been retconned, or this was AFTER the defeat of Onaga (cos I'm assuming that Shujinko's storyline - ie Ermac and Liu Kang free all the resurrected warriors, Liu Kang gets his body back and Onaga gets his scaly arse kicked by the heroes - is canon).

Well, it appears that every character has been confirmed now, but there's still one that isn't there: Monster (from Deception).
He may have been unplayable and had the same move set as Scorpion, but quite a few of the characters started out that way anyway, so as far as I'm concerned he's a completely new character. I mean if characters like Meat and Mokap can get in there, then surely they should have considered it at some point?

K, now I'm confused. The guy between N00b and Ermac is most definitely Chameleon, and the unlockables are Taven, Dageon, Blaze and Meat - but who the smeg are those red and blue things (under Nightwolf and Kobra respectively)? Are they more elementals or something?

Judging by the looks of them, maybe there will be a character creation mode available for MK: Armageddon? That would be sheer class, I would definitely buy it then!
But you're probably right, it's probably just another pair of dumb "element" characters. Blaze's henchmen perhaps?

There IS a Character Creation mode. There's also a Create A Fatality mode, where you get different grades of fatality, but sadly this might mean that none of the characters have their own fatalities, so no more cries of "TOASTY!", spine removal, spinning clouds of death etc., alas. PS Is it me, or does Kintaro look like Tony the Tiger on a LOT of drugs?

I don't know how to reveal this to you Beeth, but their is character creation in MK Armageddon. Or kharacter kreation as they likes to refer to it as. Apparently it is smarter then the Soul Calibur one, you can choose which button causes which punch/kick rather then just using a pre-made move list. I'm quite looking forward to it, I think I'll make my guy a Black Dragon.
Anyway, those red and blue character look just like created characters to me. They are made out of jigsaw pieces so it makes sense.
Also, I don't know if you have seen this, but their is a new cast render on the Armageddon site. www.mkarmageddon.com/ Go there then wait till the logo pops up. Click on the dragons eye to view it. It is fairly simular to the old cast page, although now Meat, Motaro and Charmeleon is on it.

That's confirmed my getting this game, then! Here: You've got to love that icon. Given that he was simply a doppelganger in MK4, I would hope, now that he's independent, that he's got his own new move set. I would be very intrigued to see it.

Slightly off topic, but does anyone else get extremely irritated by Mileena fans (like the one who runs Mileena's Isle) drawing her with a normal face, as opposed to big nasty teeth? That's the whole point of her, ffs, as Ed Boon said, when Kitana takes her mask off, she's a beautiful woman. When Mileena takes hers off, she's a horrible freak. Plus she wouldn't be able to do half the fatalities she does - including the extremely cool one in Deception - without the teeth. It's as annoying as Harry / Hermione shippers.

There is this strange level of fandom of any fictional character where the fan will deny any flaws the character had to perceive them as being perfect. Where in fact a perfect character is dull and the flaw is what makes them interest.
Looking at the subject matter at hand, the fact that Mileena is a mutant outcast is an important part of her character. It makes her much more interesting then Kitana. Along with Scorpion and Ermac, Mileena is one of my favourite characters in MK because she is a demonic mutant and thus quite a bit different from the other sea of scantly clad female fighters in the MK games. She can sharpen her teeth on my bones any day she likes.
Anyway, does everyone know about the new minigame, Motor Kombat. This is what Wikipedia had to say about it:
The above screenshot suggests that it can also be played online.

Yeah, I've seen that. And apparently the fighters can do stuff with their cars, eg Rayden can electrocute people and Sub Zero can freeze wheels.

I look well forward to a few rounds of Motor Kombat. It confirms that MKA is a game after my own heart, it must be the perfect game that I've been waiting for... Additional: Kabal, Noob Saibot, Mokap, Nitara and the bloke from Village People (Hsu Hao) will probably be my first characters of choice in MKA. That said, I'll see what I can do with the KaK feature.

That's Charmeleon, he isn't new but he has pretty much zero backstory so he might as well be.

I was wondering, will there be another Konquest mode featuring or introducing Daegon and Taven that you have to complete to unlock them both, just the same as with Shujinko in MK: Deception? Or will there be another Krypt with various other unlockables? I would find this out myself, normally, but I can't get the website to work on the useless lump of metal I'm using at the moment. EDIT: Actually, it's decided to work now, and it turns out I was right. They apparently fight against Blaze in the Konquest mode, and being locked himself, it leads me to believe Meat may also have some sort of role in this game.
