Oh, nice. I'm always in the top three in those, so I may have to abuse that to get ranks

(They just need to put fewer ghosts in [censored]ing Covies mode) Even though I have been on the losing end of a couple of 100 VS 99 point matches.

I've never seen any on sale, myself. GAME are a bit crap for going in, trying to find something and then deciding "I'll have that then". Most non-software items for most systems are locked away in the cabinets behind the tills or in their big store-rooms out the back. You have to ask a member of staff whether or not they have any floating around - and since they don't openly show that they do, chances are that there are loads. Still, it's better than Gamestop putting them onto the shelves and ripping everyone else off 'cos GAME don't and thus no-one realises that they're paying about £10 more than they should be.

Microsoft, get out of my mind!
I was literally talking to a mate today saying that the only real "Xbox Original" game I would be interested in getting off of Live was Ninja Gaiden Black. I had a quick look at the new releases a minute ago and what do I see. Ninja Gaiden Black is out on the 11th, ka-ching!

Does anyone know of any "classic" F1 games, as in ones set in seasons from the distant past? It would be great to blast around the likes of Monaco and Silverstone with Alberto Ascari and others.

Er... F1 95, 96, 97, 98, 99, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006 and 2007?

You mean there isn't a 2008 yet? I thought these things always came out in the year previous to their title date.

Well, that wouldn't be a past title would it?

There's about a billion F1 games on PC dedicated to such behaviour. They've all got names like Grand Prix Legends, Legends of Speed, etc.

Only one Ive played is Super Monaco Grand Prix on MD/MCD, but I dont remember being able to pick famous drivers, although I could be wrong.

Ok, I went in a game shop today (not GAME, a independant one) and had this conversation.
Me: "hi, can you tell me how much Id get for trading in Megaman ZX on the DS?" Woman: "mega....man? Er, Ive never heard of that, come back later when *some guy* is in"
*wandering around, and come back*
Woman: "oh *whatever the guys name was*, this young lady wanted to know what the trade in for...what was it?" Me: "Megaman ZX" Woman: "...for megaman was" Guy: "Mega...man?"
*checks computer*
Guy: "what was it called?" Me: "Megaman ZX on the DS" Guy: "Is it imported? I cant find it..." Me: "no, the series has been out for ages, it was on the Snes and others." Guy: "It says its not even out yet, Megaman ZX advent..." Me: "its Megaman ZX" Guy: "oh...hmm, well I dont know." Me: "I got it from GAME just a few weeks ago" Guy: "erm...well lets say £15 store credit" Me: "ok thats fine, Ill bring it in tomorrow."
Now although it took me about 10 years to get though to this dense man and what appeared to be his wife, I got £15 store credit, and I paid £9.99 for it. #VALUE!
So, should I get that 45-in-one (or whatever its called)? That will only cost me £5. They dont seem to have much in the way of "good" games like PW or...anything at all.

This 'games' store is obviously immensely cruddy and should be burned to the ground and never mentioned again. Srsly. Also, the 45-in-one is just games you can get better versions of for free on the computer. Not that any of them are remotely interesting anyway.

Yes. I asked them if they had any super nintendos once and they replied "Super...nintendo? is that a snes? oh they havent been around for 20 years" I was just "ok..." I heard it was good. :/ (45-in-1) but like I say, they seem to have really cruddy games. Is S&M DS any good?

S&M DS sure sounds good As for Sonic & Mario Olympics, I've heard it's at least better than the Wii version, which should count for something.

I'm thinking about getting a Silent Hill game for the PC... is it worth it?

Post by Moo on Feb 9, 2008 19:11:55 GMT
Dunno about PC Silent hill, but the PS1/2 games are definately worth it. 1 may look a little dated with graphics though, but its the scariest. 2 + 3 are better graphics-wise but not as scarey.
