Q. How can I put a picture in my post?
To put a picture in a post, you will need to find a place to upload the picture. A lot of sites on the internet provide you with web space to post, e.g Photobucket. Often the website will give you a link to copy and paste into the forum.
Then type:

The internet address of the picture[ /img]
Remove the space between "[" and "/img" and once you post, your picture should appear.
Q. How can I put a video in my post?
For example, you've seen a super cool trailer featuring our favourite blue hero's new game and you want to share it! You can either use the [ youtube] [/ youtube] tags (but be sure to use the "long link" in YouTube's URL addresses; short ones seem to confuse poor old Megadroid's circuits!) or you can use the fast and simple to use video button at the top of the post editor!
Q: Where can I host my images?
A: Sonic the Comic Online has its own public host. Log on to www.freewebs.com - The Screen name is stco-forumpics and the password is sonic.
Q. How can I use moving text?
Please remember that moving text can be distracting, so try to avoid using it except on rare occasions.
To make your text move, simply type [ /move ] at the end of the text you want to move, and [ move ] at the beginning (without the spaces).
Q. How can I use coloured text?
You can change the colour of your text by using the BB code, for example if you want to type in red; blah blah blah [/ color] without the spaces in the brackets will change your font. Please use coloured fonts sparingly, however as some of them can be difficult to read against some of our forum backgrounds! (Seriously Boomers, have you seen red font on our special Valetine's Day skin? Yeeuch!)
Q. How do I set the clock to the right time?
You have to enter the profile section and go down till you see a part which reads like this:
"Time Offset:
Number of hours +/- the current forum time to make the displayed time your local time."
Now enter +# or -# till you get to the correct hour in your time zone. From GMT (UK time), +4.5 should do the trick.
Q. What can I have in my signature?
You are allowed up to 300 letters text, but no pictures.
Q. What am I allowed as my avatar?
You can select any image from the hundreds available, but you might want to spend a little while on the board before you choose to make sure that somebody else doesn't have the same one. Or if there's a pic out there that takes your fancy, you can upload it here, but please nothing naughty! We don't want to make the Humes-Who-Think-They're-In-Charge blush! And please keep it to 100x100 pixels maximum!
