Question about youtube embeds. What if the title of a sfw video features a swearword in the title? Can we embed, or just post the link? Umm, neither. The swear filter will turn a swear into a [censored], rendering the link useless. Posting it as a video will mean it will ail to load, and posting it as a link will mean the links won't work. best option is to run the link through www.tinyurl.com, that should avoid the filter messing up your link

The link won't have a swear word in it, though.

Thats the point of tinyurl. Removes it so the link can work.

Yes, but youtube links don't have words in them.

For some reason, the STC-O logo and website background won't load (i'm using the Halloween skin btw). I don't know why this is, but I'm guessing there's a problem with the site hosting them (MJC Productions). I tried to access the logo picture directly, then the page itself, it's refusing to work. I'm getting the standard "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage" message whenever I try.
Anyone else having similar issues?
Edit: It's all working again, now.

Actually, it isn't again. It keeps going on and off, but it seems to be off more often than on.

Getting a Fraudulent Content warning when I try to access the forum on a Mac. Didn't even give me the chance to log in. Using Norton.
Switched back to my PC and no problem, although my antivirus blocks adverts on some pages. Using Comodo.
Yeah, not a query, more of a general FYI.

The past couple of days, I've been noticing the view counters for particular board areas spiking to about 7 or 8 people when there's only two or three people logged in. Anyone have an inkling as to why this is? Not a problem of any sort, just something I've picked up on recently.

I sometimes go onto the Proboards Support forum, so I see stuff like that all the time. They say it's a ghost in the system, I think, it happens. Nothing we can do about it.

Not sure what's going on, and if this is happening to others or not, but the blue circles never turn to grey after I've read a topic in that forum, or clicked the "mark as read" button.
I've tried this on two different machines and it's the same (although in fairness, this is with the same internet browser).

It's happening on several proboards forums, they are aware of the problem and are currently trying to fix it. Should be done today, hopefully.

Where's the problem post?
Is it an image which is protected against hotlinking? Is there swearing in the filename?

Yeah, I fixed it, the issue is the "s" in any link with an "http" at the beginning. The "s" secures it, so obviously you can't link using it. We can't do anything about it our end.
