Actually I think Oz has got a valid argument. I've not finished Heroes myself, so I didn't know how it ended before, and frankly it sounds like a pretty appaling and badly thought out end sequence, which is valid cause for discussion, but he couldn't put it on the main Heroes thread because otherwise it'd spoil it for people who wanted to find the ending for themselves. So I agree with Oz on this one.

I've put in a... Spoiler font -- as you see. It's the usual square brackets surrounding spoiler and /spoiler.

Still a few bugs since it seems to be moving everything that follows to the centre. Give me a sec on it though. ETA: Um, should be okay now but let me know if there are probs.

You ought to use Internet Explorer or that lesser browser: Netscape Navigator. Okay, I've got Safari AND internet explorer so I'll give it a go.

Can anyone tell me the actual conditions for a Banning, as I recently heard (or rather, read) that Gemel got banned for reasons unknown and I would like to avoid that.

Spamming, flaming, trolling, abuse, threatening people or otherwise disturbing the peace. In serious cases, the ban is immediate. In less serious cases, the person will be warned and/or a week-long ban will be implemented.
Rob has been banned for a week for continuing to be abusive after being warned a couple of weeks ago, as well as apparently spamming the board with posts about Team Dark, the place being 'dull' and what have you. Individually, these would be things we'd mention and not do anything about. But he's been asked to stop at least twice and he's still going.

None of us asked Rob to do all of that. Just thought I'd clear that up.

No, I know. I don't mind anyone plugging their sites, but just when it's kept proportion. Sigs are useful for that sort of thing (yours being a great example, Lakit), or even dropping mentions into posts where relevant.

That happerned to me, once I have a lot of PMs and then they were all deleted. I have no idea what causes it, perhapse the forum automatically cleans itself and decides to get rid of your PMs or something. Hmm, I don't think you can get them back sorry. All you can do now is to try to get that info and links again and save them in a secure place. Your PM inbox is not secure at all.

I've obviously misted something. Why has Heavymegatal been banned? His posts are as a guest.

(Psst, Ed, spoiler text doesn't show up in the Topic Summary)
This isn't a problem, more of an inquiry. What does all that ROFL, LOL and all those other abbreviations mean?

Post by archangelffx on Jan 2, 2005 16:10:28 GMT
LOL - Laugh(ing) Out Loud ROFL - Rolling On the Floor, Laughing LMAO - Laughing My Ass Off
WTH? - What the Hell? WT-F? - (Have a wild guess;))
Anyone can add a few more, they're one's more commonly seen. Just little internet/text abbreviations.

Meh, I know this has already been asked by Zerolus and answered by X3, but I'm speaking to a confused Dan Baxter over MSN and he doesn't recall anything that he's been accused of doing or posting.
I think he deserves at least another (more detailed) explanation, a chance to argue his point or.... or something else. *stumped*
I just think that other Boomers here have done things and have had warnings. If its all what X3 says it is, then fine. But I think there's more to it. Who did the banning?

Sorry for dodging rules a lil for double posting and letting banned members onto the forum but hey, Dan has something to say.
----------------
Hey everyone
I’m not the type to rant and rave, so I’m going to get straight to the point – why exactly have I been banned? The only explanation I’ve heard of is X3 stating that I was posting “graphic and groteseque messages”.
Erm… what?
I think it’s a bit unfair that, after my contributions to the forum, and displaying what I believe has been a positive and friendly attitude to all members, I get banned without warning, and not even an explanation as to why. Quite frankly, I think it’s a bit of a slap in the face.
I certainly do NOT recall ever posting anything that could be classified and “graphic and grotesque”. And even if I had, didn’t I at least deserve a formal warning? I realise that the same rules apply to all members regardless of their status, and if I knew I had done something wrong I would have accepted this decision with grace and respect. But no-one should be banned for no apparent reason without even being warned. Come on – the very least you guys could have done is sent me an e-mail explaining why this decision was made, and then we could take things from there.
I’m trying my best to keep my cool here. It would be nice if you could do the same. As I’ve said, I don’t recall ever “crossing the line”, but if any of you know something that I don’t, contact me at dan_baxter@btopenworld.com and we can try and sort things out.
Thank you for your time
Dan Baxter
