What did you guys think of the story telling of tekno being a slave before joining the freedom fighters

I liked it. I'd forgotten Shortfuse rescued her from a chain gang, so that was a nice little memory nudge, and I think Zak drew old-style Robotnik brilliantly (especially at the bottom of Page 1 - check the jowls!)

good personally I liked it and thought it was a brave move to completely tell us about a character in it's first or second issue

I also thought it was good. It just seemed to answer some questions that was raised back in the old comics. *Spoilers* (if needed though I doubt it ) (Why was Tekno in the chain gang and how/why Tekno help designed the Megatal(sp) that was used to make Shortfuse's body as she was working for Robotnik at the time)

Yeah, it was a way of saying "We're here, and we don't mind doing our own thing with the continuty."

Glad you guys liked it... that one was a complete headache to work out, continuity-wise. It was a good story to begin with, but there was a bit of a major contradiction we only noticed late in development - and in mending the continuity rip I think I did some damage to the purpose of the story. But I think Zak saved the day with that astonishingly good artwork It was originally going to run in the third issue (the "Impressions" story running first), but it was also Zak's first story, and when his pages first came in we were flabbergasted - so it ran as soon as we got the opportunity (which, frustratingly for all involved, was two to three years after it was finished). I always thought Tekno, in her earliest appearances at least, had a dark side that really deserved exploration...

Yeah, I'm on a LAN at uni but when I go home I'm on dial-up, it's awful. I'm not so bothered about the speed, but you just can't spend long on there unless you want to A) rack up a huge bill and B) annoy people who are trying to use the phone.

weird situations could develop from that charmy Man, everyone has a filthy mind on these boards!! ;D at least thatswhat you're getting at, right?! I would be happy if we never find out about her family/distant past. To be honest, she isn't a big enough character to warrant an entire life story. And nobody's bithered by not knowing, are they? Maybe there are somethings that we mere Humes arent supposed to know...
