Gentle Sirs and Maidens (Possibly...) I am thinking about picking up Batman: War Games Acts 1, 2 and 3 soon but is the series any good? Flicking through it in WHSmith and Waterstones and it seems to be alright. Also: 3 for 2 at Waterstones on graphic novels. I got Arkham Asylum, Trinity, Justice League of America: The Injustice League and Deadpool: The Circle Chase and Sins of the Past recently. Enjoyed them really. Arkham Asylum is creepy though.

Yep, I say it is excellent. But War Drums comes first so you should get that before you pick up the War Games trilogy. There's also the very poor War Crimes which follows it. It's pretty coincidental you should mention War Games as I came on here to rant about something that happened in the Bat-verse recently that I didn't like but it follows from War Games so I'll keep quiet in fear of spoiling it should you decide to buy it, which I heartily recommend you do.

Infinity Gauntlet arrived in the post a few days ago, and I've only just got around to reading it.
Best graphic novel I've seen in the past month. Lots of fun.

I read the Safeword story in the fourth trade of Y: The Last Man recently and am amused that agent 711 will be in the movie. Heh he he, poor Shia LaBeouf... Alas, poor Shia.

Stephanie Brown coming back to life? yup. Really annoyed me, that did. It was pointless and completely took away from the War Games saga. And if Batman suspected from the start why did he tell Dr.Thompkins to get out of Gotham for murdering her ? Besides, was it not Batman himself who said in the Green Arrow saga Quiver " It seems none of our departed ranks know how to stay dead anymore "

That was April. It's been finished and Leinil Yu will be working on it as soon as he's done with Secret Invasion.

As much as I hate the current Batman (of Zur-En-Arrh) storyline, the recent Batman comic had an excellent quote from the Joker.
"You really want to know how it feels to be the clown at midnight? When there's only ever one joke and it's always on you?"
Great moment.

Today I read DC: World War III. While it was pretty fun to read a comic which was basically about the most powerful villain about cutting loose and attacking everyone, I feel it's not as good as the much earlier World War III written by Grant Morrisson.

They've had two World War 3's?
The hell?

Did you read the 52 stuff leading up to it? That stuff was pretty cool.

Marvel and DC are supposed to be dens of obsessive continuity, and yet nobody there called the title World War IV?
It'd stand out more on the shelves, for a start.

World War III is such an overblown and overused title anyway - it was only put out there to compete with World War Hulk (and it didn't work).

Sorry, but I'm having trouble making sense of that. It seems to contradict what you said above (in some way).
