Hey guys, I previewed this to a few members at the weekend, and received some pretty positive feedback, so I'm hopeful you will all enjoy this little project. Basically, this is an idea that I've had floating around for a while now, but until recently didn't really put the work into. The release of the latest STCO, however, certainly helped inspire me to finally put things in motion, and now we're ready to go. STCReruns.co.uk is a new website I'm launching, that's basically a new way to read the existing scans of STC. They're all from the original STC Archive (which I don't think exists any more?) so I really can't take credit for the scans themselves, nor do I wish to. I'm just making use of them to hopefully entertain a few fans old and new. The key difference with STCReruns over just downloading all the scans and reading them yourself is that it brings back the serialised part of the experience - which, personally, I think is a big part of it, and hopefully you guys get that too. I'll Megadroid will be updating the site every week with a new comic, usually around midnight on Tuesday night/Wednesday morning and these will be as complete as scans allow. We'll be doing this right up until issue 184, which, as I'm sure you can work out, is years down the line - so it's very much a long-haul project. I hope you'll all enjoy following it through and stick with it, 'cos personally, I'm rather looking forward to it myself. This week, because it's the launch and no-one really wants to wait two months to get into the real meat of the comic (it is a bit of a slow-starter, after all) there will be a new issue every day, so be sure to keep checking back. I'll update this post every time a new issue comes out, but feel free to bookmark the site itself and check back every Wednesday for the latest issue. Hope you guys enjoy. 5th August 2010 - Issue #009 is out!

Absolutely brilliant idea to see come to fruition, Oak. Very impressive to see you set it all up and it'll be a great place to see scans of issues, much easier for new readers than downloading them all one by one. Are you keeping every back issue online for the forseeable future when they come out?

Are you keeping every back issue online for the forseeable future when they come out? Yes. I've had some debate in making it limited (only a few at a time), but ultimately, to do that only makes it that much harder to get into the comic later down the line - so for the format, it's not viable. Obviously, the current back issue page will suck tremendously when we get past a few dozen issues, but I can address that issue then.

This is just simply amazing stuff. An excellent idea to recapture that old feeling again. This'll be great for new fans as well hopefully

When I saw this at the weekend, I thought it was an excellent idea, and I for one will be enjoying reading this in the issues to come. I didn't get to read all the issues in order first time round, and I really haven't the time or the space to spare downloading them in one go, so this will be very convenient. You should go around and try publicising it a little. You never know, this may well bring about some new fans if word of mouth carries it far enough. Good luck with this, Alex.

I'm afraid I really have no foothold in the Sonic community other than in here - and to be completely honest, I wouldn't even know where to begin.
If people want to spread it around, please feel free - but I wouldn't really have anywhere to begin spreading it around Sonic fans myself.

Background image a bit nasty, but otherwise nice layout and design

Utterly brilliant concept and execution here, Alex.
If I might make one small suggestion based on whats being said, people want to introduce new fans to STC. If so, I'd get the advertising out there now to other Sonic fan sites. It'll be much easier to pick them up as they start from the beginning rather than having a massive backlog to garner from.
I'm primarily just based on this forum (and a minor amount on Exterminatus Now) but I'm sure we have a few Sonic Stadium'ers here? I know at least a couple are on Sonic Retro. If we're lucky, maybe even try and get it a mention on the Sonic News site thats out there?

A fantastic idea, mate. Do you mind if I spread the word via YouTube? A lot of people there have been asking me if there's a way to read the comic online, so this'll be perfect for them.

If you want it advertising, I'll post a topic on Sonic Stadium, it might get mentioned on TSS news if the right staff members see it.

I think this is one neat idea. Sure you can read STC Online, but a website to read the Issues on is quite a good idea. I like the logo, it's like going back in time to 1993 again. Once again, neat idea Alex.

Would it be ok to post something about this on the Sonic the Hedgehog Facebook page? There wouldn't be any legal ramifications?

I'm not sure about the Sonic facebook group thing. I don't really know where Sega would fall concerning stuff like this. I mean, it's important to note that I'm not doing this for a single penny - there are no ads on the site whatsoever, so I'm effectively losing money to do it - but I dunno if even that'd be enough to satiate the legal hounds. If other people post similar content to the page, then feel free - but if it'd just be spamming up their own posts or whatever... then.. ehhh, don't think that's such a hot idea.

Absolutely amazing idea Well done! You should make it fortnightly though just to capture that real spirit of STC. Though 200+ issues every fortnight.... that's a scarily long time. P.S After realising that's a scarily long time I suddenly feel old...

Nice - I remember the Archive website, which IIRC no longer exists. Good idea bringing this back! Any chance of sticking in STCO under Back Issues, seeing as STC scans are kind of a grey area?

This is amazing! It's great to see the old issues in an STC-style website! And I agree with Mambo, and perhaps have this linked to the Back Issues on the main comic site.
