There is no thread for this movie. Truly a heinous crime.
You like the look of this movie? Go and see it. You don't like the look of this movie? Definitely go and see it.
The characters are all wonderfully realised, the art direction is unique (it's certainly nice to see CG creations moving away from pristine symmetry in their character designs), the quality of both the models and the animation is excellent, the plot moves at a decent clip (fitting in a suprising amount of content, actually) and there's so much delightful, surrealist imagery that it'll support weird interpretations for an age.
I personally felt quite kindred with the protagonist, since his coping method reminded me a great deal of when I used to pursue acting.
Marvellous little film in all respects.

I have to say, my first thought when I heard about this was "Ye gods, not another CGI-talking-animal-or-whatever-film". Having seen trailers and read the premise of the story since, I'm actually quite charmed by the premise. Certainly would be willing to give it a look given the shot.

I have to say, my first thought when I heard about this was "Ye gods, not another CGI-talking-animal-or-whatever-film". I had similar doubts; it subverts all expectations on that front. Unfortunately, the same can't be said for the handful of trailers that came on prior to the 4pm showing...

It is actually rather a good film, possibly the best western about a bunch of lizards I'll see all year.
It's also surprisingly dark in places, certainly not "yet another talking animal cartoon", and has a plot that while isn't overly complicated, does indeed have some depth to it.

It's a pretty fantastic film.
Loved how it has a classical Greek-style chorus.
Best movie I've seen all year.

I saw it today.
Thought it was a bit silly at the start, but it was great when it got going.
