This is where to discuss the English, American and Japanese episodes of Sonic X.
For those who don't know- 8:00-8:30 on TV Tokyo, Japan. ??-?? on FoxBox, America (Fill me in hyperknux). 3:50-4:15 on CITV, Britain.
Unfortunately, Sonic X was cut and Scrapped after showing 52 episodes, partly due to low viewer ratings- blame it all on Chris if you ask me.
OK, so discuss!

Umm, from what I heard, wasn't it originally only going to be 52 episodes anyway? For a cartoon that's pretty good and average for an anime.

It was supposed to go on longer, into Sonic Battle and Sonic Heroes spin offs. But nay...

Well, tonight's episode... awful. As always.
But I enjoyed it because of the Rouge. That saucy minx.
Go away now. It's madhair's private time.

The series was indeed going to be 52 eps. Presumably they would have continued if the series had been popular enough, though that doesn't mean that we might not get another series set in Sonic X universe, they'll probably wait till a few more games come out to provide them with more material... On to the discussion, I have mixed feelings on the show, I like the art detail (When its not done cheaply), and the game adaptions. I don't like that it sometimes seems like a huge commercial for sega (though its probably meant to be >_< ) and some of the Eps seem to be pretty pointless and dumb, even if they can be quite amusing. I was hoping they would finish the Series with a Heroes adaption instead of an obvious Cell games parody... Still its Sonic so I'll watch it anyway.

Retro, I do have that problem. I once tried to watch Dragonball, but no- Bargain Hunt was on and my sad parents have GOT to watch programmes about sad people looking at antiques.

I hate Sonic X. A TV Show of Sonic the Comic would be nice though

Now then, if I can just say a few things about Sonic X.
1)The animation is of high quality. All the game characters are drawn beautifully.
2) For an action/adventure carton, there is too much pointless focus on human affairs (e.g. getting aquainted, preparing for dinner parties etc).
3) Too much superfluos cuteness. Cream's childlike innocence should only be used to a good dramatic effect e.g. shock in a frightening situation.
4) Unnecessary and embarassing characters are Eggman's little black messanger and Mr Tanaka e.g. his ludicrous behaviour when about to play baseball. Eggman's robots should be less anthropomorphic (human-like) in their behaviour e.g. one of them "went soft" when Cream asked him, ever so nicely, not to throw the baseball to hardly.
5) Tails unnecessarily sounds like a baby when he should have the voice of a boy. Knuckles has too agressive a voice - I mean even for him. Rouge should (but does not) sound sexy but deadly and she could leave the impertinence to Sonic. And where is Sonic's sarcasm? Good portrayal of Sonic's impatience, however. Eggman would sound better with the voice of Steve Broadie (from the game) and I also wonder what Long John Baldry (from Adventures of Sonic Hedgehog) would sound like. In short, the voices from Sonic Adventure 2 would have been great.
6)Script needs work. Some things would be best left shown but unsaid e.g. Chris's mother saying that she regfrets leaving her son to shoot another film. A single sigh would have been better. I've noticed Eggman contradict himself yestarday (episode "Missle Wrist Rampage"). To quote: "I have some very exciting news for you. Exciting for me, catastrophic for you". Don't the writers review their work?
I could go on and on. Nevertheless, as a Sonic fan I am glad to see the hedgehog back on our screens with nice use of material from the games. However, as a fan of drama, I feel improvements are needed.

Seeing as how this new series is 26 eps, they'll probably have more serrious sagas (what with the game adaptations lasting six episodes or so)and fewer silly fillers...

Angry Doc I don't agree with you at all about the animation. It's dreadful in comparison to some other animes, but on the flipside some animes are even worse. *coughPokemoncough* I watched it once or twice and didn't watch it again - I don't like to see some of my favourite games characters portrayed in that fashion.

Wyldflowa, perhaps I didn't make myself clear. When I said quality I was referring strictly to the game characters. However, some of the human ones could do with a bit of fine tuning e.g the nose on Ella's face is a farce. Still, be thankfull it's not worse.
