Tom gave me the idea to start a new thread so I thought I would ask people about their fav story arcs and writers. Just what they liked about the original STC and maybe the people doing STC can take these thing into account while writing the existing STC

I only have a few surviving issues of StC now, but the bulk of them is the fantastic Drakon Saga. Man, that story rocked hard. Unfortunately I stopped getting it before the Chaos Saga came into being.

I think we might have a story quite soon with ancient Echidnas
I would like to know the story of the Drakon / Echidna war cos according to the Drakon thechaos emeralds used to belong to them.
I also want to know why they left and kept Knuckles on the floating island and why Knuckles dosen't remember a thing. Endless possibillities for the writers.

sorry knuckles, but everyone here already decided against that. its best left till sega decides if we should know, but personally, i'd prefer not to know. it adds mystery to knuckles origins

I don't want STC to become overrun with echidnas like Archie I just want to know more about the Floating Island and it's history

i see. I can understand, but I still prefer to not know, I don't know, all these years its been unknown, i'd like it to stay like that

Well, I wouldn't want to know everything but snippets would be good. Snippets give false hope, false hope is good.

the best arc (saga I call them) was the first the Sonic Terminator, I also thouroughly enjoyed the Enter Knuckles story and of course issue 100 kicked ass so much! aw man, I really wish my mum hadnt thrown all my issues out

thats tragic, very tragic, I don't think my mum would have dared throw my sonic stuff out, she threw everything else out but was smart enough to leave the sonic stuff well alone, wahaha

My mum wanted me to throw out my comics several times, but I refused everytime >-D
My favourites were the Metalix stories and I also liked the Tails in the Nameless Zone stories.

Although it suffered the most editorially, I think the most conceptually intriguing was the Mystic Mountain arc, climaxing in #153. I've no doubt that this Shanazar stuff would have been the best run on the comic if Nigel had been given more freedom to develop the stories as he wanted to (and as he was allowed in the old days).
As it is, the Chaos arc is head and shoulders above anything else in the comic. Spine-tinglingly wonderful tale, that.

Shame about the reprints after though

I'd say Chaos and Metallix arcs are my favourites. My favourite individual issue would obviously have to be 100.

It so did. The build-up helped, I must have read #99 thirty times over waiting for #100 to come out.
