Went to see Prometheus yesterday. Without wanting to spoil too much, it has to be the single most disappointing movie I have seen in a long time. I mean, it's not exactly terrible, but in its attempts to be so grand and sweeping I found it largely utterly unengaging. I guess part of the problem is that my expectations were soaring through the roof, but all its grand epicness was for naught because it would not let me in.

The final episode of Gurren Lagann.
Manly tears.

Genesis of the Daleks.
I couldn't find the recordings of the 60s movies anywhere, which I really wanted to watch, so I settled for this. Might just have to buy the actual DVDs....

Dance in the Vampire Bund ( Yes I sometimes have bad taste ) It's quite funny, although once a new anime comes along that I want to see I'll just stop watching this one.

Dance in the Vampire Bund ( Yes I sometimes have bad taste ) That anime falls so far after the first episode, which is extremely good. It's also - again - a bit too far on the noncey side of lolicon. Astonished it ever got a UK certificate, frankly. Ditto Strike Witches, which is a [censored]ing loli fanservice show about underage girls' pants.

I agree with you a lot but I just watch stuff if it appeals to me, or if I can pick it up cheap. Dance in the Vampire Bund was given to me on borrow from a friend and it's so so. Edit: Strike Witches... I don't know... I suppose I was drawn to it because it seemed too outrageous. XD

Prometheus. I liked it. Plot was a bit complex (I followed it ok though), and many of the questions were left unanswered, but everything else was really good.

Guyver Not the Funimation series but the classic 90's Manga series, with it's gritty animation, unintentionally hilarious dialogue and that AWESOME intro theme!

Over on the Xbox 360 entertainment system, there is a TV app called Crackle and on it they have 30 episodes of Dilbert.
Not saying best cartoon ever, but gosh darn its got charm.

Zombieland
Been watching through the first series of Digimon as well, currently up to Episode 24. I noticed the animation is higher quality in Episode 21, which I never noticed way back when I saw it on TV. Was that episode made from footage of a movie or something?

Code: Geass R2 Not actually watching it yet, but I'm tired of not having it so I've used my birthday money to order it off Amazon. EDIT: I got a second-hand DVD player that plays region 1 discs. So now I'm finally watching my Galaxy High School box set.

Amazing Spider-Man - I enjoyed it, far better than the Raimi films, in my humble opinion.

I watched the last half of Nazis at the Centre of the Earth on Sci Fi last night. Nazi Zombies and Robot Hitler. Robot Hitler was rendered in [censored]ty CGI though, My god if it was a stopmotion puppet instead, nightmares would be had.

Angel Beats - I bought the proper DVD back on my birthday and only got around to watching it all today. The last episode still makes me cry... But this time I watched the OVA after it and laughed my ass off!
