STC is guilty of one very big crime.....Parody of various TV shows and comic books!
Dun dun Duuuuuuun!
They did it all over sonic's stay in the special zone, with the x-monkeys and that incredible hulk mickey-take. Heck, even the Marxio bros with their Mario/Marx bros parody.
So what kinds of parodies would you have liked to have seen in STC?
Myself,....well I would be a very VERY happy guy to see an A-team parody...that'd rule
what about you guys?

*digs up old thread* I remember back in issue...12, "Hidden Danger", a badnik says to Robotnik "Aren't you angry with us, O Great One? Aren't you going to make us listen to Take That again as punishment?" As an eight-year-old, I thought this was the greatest thing ever. Someone else hates Take That! Yipeeeeee! ;D Not a TV show/comic book I know, but hey. Thought it was worth a mention.

Whoa! RESURECTION!
Gah... These two are as worse as each other...
Favian Vane (SMEGHEAD) and Michael Jackson (AKA Wacko Jacko)

Sigh...I remember (vaguely ) the days when Jacko was the coolest guy on the planet. What happened? Apart from the obvious. Billie Jean STILL rules. *waves random flag in semi-patriotic manner*

I can't remember the exact line, but in issue 2 thwre was something like "I'd rather watch an episode of El Dorado!"
And who could forget the stupid, idiootic, issue-100- ruining "OI! HEDGEHOG! NO!"

woah! uber bumpage. yeah, there where many hidden pop culture referances throughout all of StC, also, theres been quite a few issues where we see Sonic playing on a Megadrive (be it Super Marxio Brothers or not) . I think its good that thay had some references in, but some of them where a little stupid like the one I said about the Braveheart rip-off.

The entire sonic universe is full of plot-holes, so why dislike one decent strip just because it has one plot-hole in it. I usually just ignore these sort of things when they turn up.
The only exception is that I am angry about is the dissapperence of Mighty down a plot-hole, BRING BACK MIGHTY

Post by Retro on Apr 22, 2004 0:16:36 GMT
I wouldnt call that a plot hole, more of a dissappearing character for no apparent reason! *Stages a protest to bring back mighty, but is beat up by police*

the sonic terminator story is a total rip off of an episode of red dwarf, and lots of story titles are names of films or well known phrases.
