I wanted a load of my posts removed, and all I had to do was do nothing? Damn it.

That was different with you though, you wanted whole swathes of posts deleting which would disrupt how the threads read. I thought you and Cal had sorted that one out anyway?

Not sorted, just stopped. It was old, locked threads I wanted.
I wasn't really getting at anything anyway, just messing around.

Am I right in thinking there's a distinct lack of communication between the moderators?
Two mods publicly refused to lock a thread after being asked, and then another locked it regardless.
You need to be a team for it to work.

Which thread? *goes to look* Oh geez... ah well, never mind. It's not worth arguing about really - I got sick of seeing an art thread derailed with butcheries and suggested they go somewhere else. Obviously the original artist disapproved.

Hey, if you're fishing for an all-out mod argument, it ain't gonna happen. *skips along merrily* If you must know, we've had plenty of recent important discussions. Very hush, hush. Hehe!

Suggestion:
Setting up the forum sections (asside from the Control Zone) to only be viewable/accessible after one post, that way more of the newbies will catch sight of the introduction thread, rules thread, avatars thread and such, as opposed to progressing straight to the main forum with little understanding of how things work (i.e. double posting, etc).
k, i'm done

As far as I see it, a issue so minor as locking a thread by a request - and not due to inappropriate content or behaviour - is down to the individual moderator. We do have differing opinions on stuff, yknow. I asked them to stop posting bull[censored] in your thread because I didn't want to see your stuff buried! I didn't see the point in locking it but if another mod does, that's their judgment. The point is, we do discuss major issues - but something so trivial as this really does not justify sitting around waiting for all the mods to agree on whether the thread gets locked. ¬_¬ Which, FYI - most of the mods present at the time actually did agree to it, which answers Supes' question. WF - I think that has been suggested before... can't remember the response though... *goes to look*

Mambo, honestly, I'm not bothered/irritated that you didn't lock the thread. I understand the purpose of the GF Butchery thread, and I'm glad it was there, or I'd have to have the original thread locked...

Can somebody have a tidy up of the start here thread board? It might make things a little clearer to new members if some of the no longer relevant threads (such as the one about re-picking your avatar, or the one about sig images) Likewise a label on the read-only threads could help too.

Also a sift though of pinned threads would be good, especially in the upper half (art, sonic, etc) of the forum. A lot of those are either serving no purpose or have "expired".

The entire STC Projects Thread appears to have died: the front page lists the number of threads as minus two, and when you visit the forum there's nothing there. What's happened?

Spring cleaning, seeing as the animation project itself died - the currently active projects have been moved to the Graphics Zone. Looks like an Admin hasn't had chance to actually delete the subforum itself. Us lowly mods dinnae have the powah.
The Intro forum has been cleaned up as well.

Since the discussion pages on the STCO Wiki don't often get used, perhaps a sub-forum for specific article discussions, corrections, categorizations and article suggestions etc might be an effective way of actually getting people together to discuss articles in question.
If that idea gets shot down, perhaps the STCO Wiki thread might be better suited in a different zone? The Graphics Zone just doesn't seem... accurate IMO.

Doesn't the wiki have a support forum built on? IMO it'd be a better move to put it (maybe stickied) into the Sonic The Comic board, so the people who read just that board (i.e. the ones who know the most about STC) will see it. If the Wiki then does have a forum on it, they can use that to discuss how the Wiki's coming along.

I had no idea you could set up a forum on the wiki. But it would save the effort of starting a new board from scratch. My take on it is that as this is largest STC/O community (that I know of anyway) it'd make sense to have a small area for the wiki, seeing as it was our members that set it up and we're the ones that primarily contribute to it.

Right, I've deleted the Projects Zone. It's been totally cleared, so no threads were harmed or anything.

Projects Zone stuff shouldn't really be in Archive Zone really. As is my understanding, that boards for memorable, funny, and altogether the best topics of the forum. Most the stuff from the Projects Zone doesn't really qualify for the Archive Zone, even if it should be archived. Could it not have been archived like the Old Scrap Brain Zone's contents, and keep the Archive zone as a storage bin for the best of the best?
Also can mods archive some funny stuff in there, it's not been used for ages
